Hi All,All leagues that play in yahoo have been having issues lately with spamming and id's getting banned. The problem just got a whole lot worse. Today an Admin member from another league got their ip address banned. This means that they can't just change names and come back in to play. Their ip address is banned entirely they cannot play at all !!!!
This will eventually become a problem for all of us. Please sign the petition below so that we can try to make yahoo understand how many regular players their actions are affecting. And please send this link on to as many yahoo leagues as possible, not just backgammon leagues but ALL yahoo leagues.
Thanks

Even though I am not one of "The Chosen Darksiders" a.k.a. Tournament Directors and the such, I am very aware of what's been happening. Although YAHOO! Games has been trying to clean up the Lobbies from sex-spewing bots (which they did a good job at but ...) our tournaments and joining league information spamming is throwing our peoples' IDs into Oblivion.I don't know if the Powers-to-Be at YAHOO! Games realize what they've done --- talk about 'collateral damage' --- it's a big issue.
I, personally, thank Shazz-a-Mattz for posting this petition which I eagerly signed, even though my ID and IPS Address are not at risk. I have lost hundreds of Messenger names and "People-in-Blue" in the Lobbies because they've all had to change their IDs to re-enter!!! That's a helluva lot of work for us who aren't around very much to re-add and delete and figure out who everyone is!
I'm not a Petition Thumper but I agree with this petition and I thank you Shaz for bringing it to our attention.
Now, do me a favour and find the Petition to Microsoft to NOT TAKE XP SOFTWARE OFF THE SHELVES!!! Get me THAT petition and I'll, literally, walk it all around California, if necessary!
