#1: No RR's (re-racks) unless TD approved. (RR's are allowed for the following: 1 - If on break, 8 ball or specific ball pertaining to a game is pocketed. 2 - On a persons first chance at shooting [after break] and they pocket 8 or specific ball. 3 - When the 8 or specific ball at end of game is hanging on lip of pocket and can't be removed [dead ball game is announced]. THEN YOU MUST LET TD KNOW IF NOT YOU MAY BE DISQUALIFIED UPON DISGRESSION OF TD!
#2: You must say GL or BOL before and GG or VGG after each game, etc.
#3: Each game must be announced on lobby floor if you win or lose. [ex: won or lost vs (persons name) vgg tyvm (name of the game played).] Avoid saying gg or vgg before 8 is sunk.
#4: Once tourney begins: 7 minute timer on a no show, after 3 invites (1 minute between invites). If name not on lobby for any reason, 7 min timer set. Bootem games 3 minute timer on no show (name gone from lobby) and or after 3 invites (1 minutes between invites). You cannot ask for a timer if you have not followed previous rules.
#5: NO SNOOKERING OR SAFTIES OR ANY SORT OF CHEATING DEVICES ARE PERMITTED!
#6: If in two games, please play the tourment game first, to keep things going.
#7: Please be courteous to all others and enjoy the game.
***All games are to be played like REG. 8 with BIH (ball in hand) on RATED and PROTECTED tables.***
Unless specified by staff according to certain games. First listed on pairs makes table and invites partner. If after 1 min. has passed and first person did not make table, then partner must make table. Person making table is responsible in inviting partner to table.
All new games must be approved by either HA or CO-HA.
"ABC'S"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: You must sink your balls in this order: BLUE, GREEN, ORANGE, PINK, PURPLE, RED and YELLOW. (Alphabetical order). If your sink the wrong ball, TAP OUT and give BIH to opponent. If you sink one ball in the right order & another goes in by combo, it is still your turn. Pocket 8 at end.
"BANK AND COMBO"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: All shots after the break must be either a BANK or a COMBO shot. NO cue banks, NO straight shots.
"BANK A SPECIFIC COLORED BALL"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: You must bank the color ball the TD specifies any time during game. If your opponent makes that ball for you or you make the ball in the break or from a combo shot, then you don't have to bank. Otherwise, you must bank or you lose! Cue banks are not allowed on the color ball, you must bank the specific ball onto a cushion then make the pocket.
"BANK ROBBERY"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: Combos are okay. No bank shots are allowed at any time, including the cue ball being banked into a ball to make a shot. Accidental banks do not count as banks and you have to TAP OUT and give BIH to opponent, if this occurs. However, if you make a regular shot and another ball falls in after hitting a rail it is allowed. If a ball is on the rail, you must move ball away to make the shot, (it is too much of a close call to make a judgement).
"BAR ROOM POOL TOURNEY"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: BIH only behind the line at any time. Only shoot what is beyond the line when scratch. Scratch on the 8 game is over.
"BANK THE 8 / LAST POCKET"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: Bank either the 8 ball or the cue ball banked onto 8, to make the pocket. 8 will go where your last ball fell.
"BATTLESHIP" (my version)
PROTECTED/TRAINING TABLE: The goal is to sink the opponents battleshiip. Meaning, you sink their YELLOW, BLUE, RED, PURPLE and ORANGE balls, in any order. First player announced in tourney is solids. The opponent is stripes. First player sits then breaks then takes first shot trying to make the opponents battleships balls. One shot only, stand and next player sits and does the same, switching back and forth on each turn until opponents balls are all sunk. First to do so wins the battle of the sea. The other 5 balls are landmines. Meaning they can cause you trouble. If you make the green (solid/stripe) or pink (solid/stripe) or 8, then your opponent gets and extra shot with BIH.
"BERMUDA TRIANGLE"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: Played on RATED/PROTECTED TABLES: NO BIH during game, only BIH on break. If you move the cue during game, TAP OUT and give BIH to opponent. Person to the left shoots in TOP CORNERS and MIDDLE BOTTOM pockets \/. Person to the right shoots for BOTTOM CORNERS and TOP MIDDLE /\. Even the 8 goes where ever your pockets are. If you hit one in and forget, tap out to opponent. If you shoot a ball in correct pocket and a combo has made one into another pocket that is not yours, continue shooting. (Fair shot).
"21 - BLACK JACK"
PROTECTED/TRAINING TABLE: Only one shot each person. Shoot to total 21. If cue is scratched, spot to middle of line (click on pocket and hold and carry cue to center of line). BIH for scratch only. Bank any ball for 1 point. If bank shot does not take you over 21, it counts as face value. Go over 21 you lose. If cue ball is scratched during a shot, that ball which was pocketed is foul and not counted toward points. SOLIDS: YELLOW = 1 pt./ BLUE = 2 pts./ RED = 3 pts./ PURPLE = 4 pts./ ORANGE = 5 pts./ GREEN = 6 pts./ PINK = 7 pts./ BLACK = 8 pts./ ALL STRIPES = 3 pts.
"BLUE BALL 8 BALL" or called "BLACK AND BLUE"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: NO BIH. If ball falls into a pocket at break, remember which pocket. Announce it at table. When ever during the game your BLUE ball sinks in a pocket, remember where it fell. At the end 8 ball falls where BLUE ball fell.
BLUE BALL LAST"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: The BLUE is to be sunk prior to the 8 ball at the end of the game. 8 ball falls any place after BLUE. If you sink either BLUE ball yours/theirs, you lose. If sunk on break RR, first announce to TD.
"BOOTEM"
PRIVATE/TRAINING TABLE: BIH. Combos are permitted. TD goes to table, sets table balls acorrding to choice then invites all the players. Each person will take turns, one shot per person. On list on table, that will be the order you proceed. If you miss or scratch, you lose (TD boots you). If you get one in, stand and let next player to shoot. *When scratch, TD will take cue out of pocket and place on middle of line to continue game. [MY ADAPTED VERSION IS: For those TD's who cannot remove the ball just RR table, make the break and continue].
"BOOTEM BASEBALL"
PRIVATE/TRAINING TABLE: TD Invites. Played the same as Bootem. Except you get 3 misses = 3 strikes your out!
"BOOTEM BOMB"
PRIVATE/TRAINING TABLE: TD Invites. Played the same as Bootem. Except one flaw. The 8 ball (black) acts as a bomb and is placed just below the top center pocket. the "bomb" must remain untouched. If you touch the 8 ball(bomb)your out. ONLY on scratch shots the cue ball can be placed anywhere on table (BIH).
"BOOTEM / EVIL 8 BALL"
PRIVATE/TRAINING TABLE: TD Invites. Played like regular BOOTEM. Exception, if you hit the 8 in you get booted. All other regular BOOTEM rules apply.
"BOOTEM 4 CORNERS"
PRIVATE/TRAINING TABLE: TD Invites. Played like regular BOOTEM. Exception, you cannot sink any balls into either CENTER side pockets. If you get one in either middle pockets on first ball shots and not from a combo you lose and get booted from table. All other BOOTEM rules apply.
"BOOTEM MAGIC 8:
PRIVATE/TRAINING TABLE: TD Invites. Played like regular BOOTEM. Exception, if you shoot the 8 ball in tell TD who do you want booted from table. All other bootem rules apply. (Example of set up below)
"BOOTEM - NO TOUCH THE 8"
PRIVATE/TRAINING TABLE: TD Invites. Played like regular BOOTEM. Exception, you do not touch the 8 with the cue. If comboed by another ball and then hit the 8, your safe. If you scratch, your out. All other bootem rules apply.
"BOOTEM PROGRESSIVE"
PRIVATE/TRAINING TABLES. TD Invites. TD will make initial break. Each Player will take turns shooting once and then stand. You shoot in order of name line up in Room. After each player has taken 1 turn, the next time you sit you have to make 2 shots and 1 added shot each time you sit again. When you miss a shot, scratch, reset rack or shoot out of turn YOU are booted from the table by TD and are out of tourney. So if you Sink a Ball, great, you get to stay in room and keep playing , if not, bye bye your gone. You may sink any ball in any order but try not to sink the cue ball. You Can only move the Cue ball if the person before you scratched and it has to stay behind yellow line. Last person at table is the Winner.
"BOOTEM REVERSE"
PRIVATE/TRAINING TABLE: TD Invites. Played like regular BOOTEM. Exception, last person goes first and work up. All other bootem rules apply.
"BOTTOMLESS"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: Break does not count. You must only shoot the balls in the TOP pockets. If you sink on in the BOTTOM pockets, TAP OUT to opponent and give BIH to them.
"BOTTOMS UP"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: Stripes go in TOP pockets. Solids go in the BOTTOM pockets. If you sink your ball in the wrong pocket, TAP OUT and give BIH to opponent. 8 ball is to be pocketed in the players last pocket. At the end for the 8, if for any reason a players LP is the opponents due to combo, or scratch by accident...player shall claim that pocket as his and sink the 8 in.
"BOUNTY HUNTER" (JIM'S GAME)
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: This games is Reg 8. Out of everyone that joins the tourney the TD pickes 1 member to have a Bounty(Dony Bux Amt.) on him/her. No one knows who it is but the TD. and will be announced till after the tourney. The person who won the Bounty player, even if they have lost the tourney, they still get the Bounty. (FOR TD'S: Game to be played only by TD's that can dony bux or a TD that can help dony for that game).
"BOYS AND GIRLS"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: Boys must sink the blue ball last before the 8 and the girls must sink the pink ball last before the 8. 8 falls any where after. If you sink the blue/pink early you lose. If both same sexes on table, both will play according to sex.
"BT8 - NO CUE BANKS"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: At end of game you must hit the cue ball onto the 8 ball and 8 must bank onto cushion then fall into pocket. No cue banks on this game.
"BT8 / Q"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: At the end of game you must bank the 8 onto cushion then falls into pocket or the cue ball onto cushion, then hit the 8 before making the pocket.
"CALL ALL SHOTS"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: You must call all shots (ex: RED-BOTTOM RIGHT) in order for them to count. If you do not call a shot or make it in wrong pocket, you must TAP OUT and give BIH to opponent.
"CALL ONE BALL AND BANK IT"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: You get to choose which ball you want to bank in this tourney. You MUST CALL the ball and pocket, before banking for it to count. Example: Green, top right. You can change the ball you want to bank if you miss, as many times as you want. Cue banks do NOT count. The break does not count.
"CALL OPPONENTS 8 B4 THE BREAK"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: Before the break, each person will call a designated pocket for their opponent to make the 8 ball into at the end of the game. (NO such thing as asking what they want, this is your choice only).
"CALL YOUR 8 BEFORE BREAK"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: You each will call where your 8 will go before the break, then proceed playing reg 8.
"CLOCK"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: NO BIH. When you have your ball selected solid or stripes, go clock wise around the table in pockets. Any ball, no specific order. Starting with the 1st ball in UPPER RIGHT pocket and work around to UPPER MIDDLE is the 6th ball and ending with 8th ball in the LOWER RIGHT pocket. Tap out if you make a ball in the wrong pocket by accident and do not move the cue ball. When a ball gets pocketed and not by you or through combo, remember to skip a pocket and make the next shot in another pocket.
"CUE CONTROL"
PROTECTED/TRAINING TABLES: NO COMBOS. BIH for 1st shot, NO BIH after that. You may pocket any ball at any time, but the cue ball nor any other ball may touch any ball. Either before or after a shot. Turn is over when you miss the pocket or cue strikes another ball. Scratch on any shot and you lose the game. Each ball pocketed counts as 1 point. Player with most ball down wins the match. (8 counts like any other ball). If you clear the table, reset the balls and continue.
"CUT THROAT" (or called TRIPLE THREAT")
PROTECTED/TRAINING TABLE: NO BIH. If scratch, call TD to place ball on table on middle of line. One player at a time, taking turns. When miss you must stand and let next player take his turn. Then way the #'s are given, that is who is up to play. Try to get everybody elses ball in before yours all gets sunk. If all your balls get shot in you lose. Each player has a set of balls. Table with three players: 1-5 / 6-10 / 11-15. If played with two players on table: 1-7 / 9-15 and the 8 ball is to be shot in after you shoot your opponents balls in at end. Diagram below for three playes on one table.
"DIRTY POOL"
RATED/PROTECTED TABLE: Played like regular 8. Exception, anything goes. You are allowed to snooker, tap and play safties. (Only game in league that you are permitted to do so).
