This Week's Excerpt from the Bowling Lounge Gazette

This week’s staff interview is with our very own Goldlace4u Here is what Goldy has to say.

Thank you for giving us your time for the interview Gold. You have been around pogo and the leagues for quite some time, but you don't talk much (In comparison to me anyway). So let’s tell the Loungers and Loungettes a little about Goldy.

How long have you been a pogo player and how did you get started?

Well...  My first time online in 1997 was through AOL (aohell  hehe). The game tab took me directly to pogo. My favorite game at that time was Euchre. I met some new friends that I played with daily. One of those friends introduced me to leagues and I've been in them ever since.


Tell me a little about your history with various leagues.

The very first league I was in I became a host within 2 weeks and promoted HTD with in 2 months. Then a dear friend of mine offered me a position in their league as an Admin. In 2004 I started my own league. I had to step away in 2006 to care for my dying mother. Then again in 2007 for my dying husband. By the time I was able to put myself back into the league all was lost so I killed it.  So now you all are stuck with me. lol


What do you enjoy most about being on staff at The Lounge?

I enjoy training the best. I enjoy hosting but, sharing how to do it is a great satisfaction.

Given your history with pogo and league play, what would you like to say to the members and staff as advice?

Leave your problems at the door and enjoy your friends and game.  Being with friends can really lighten the worst of times.

 

Tell us a little about Goldy when she isn't in pogo.

LMAO  That would take a book. OK here’s a short story; I love cooking, crafts, fishing, and making Tourney Pages for you all. I care for Hott who is 73 yrs. He has been undergoing hip and knee replacements. 1 hip down 1 hip and 2 knees to go yet.

As Head Trainer, what is the best piece of advice you would give a newbie and any member who wants to become a TD?

Learn all you can. Abide by the rules and most important Make It Fun.


 

Anything else you would like to share about you and your passions?

Learning what it takes to start my own Tourney Page web site is my passion. I’m in the process now of learning Html and that will help make the website happen.

Personally, I know Goldy well enough to know that she is awesome as a trainer, we are proud to have her on staff and she will help anyone whenever she can.  She has a “gold”en heart with that little bratty bottle of vodka by her side.
