• When members ranked below you are victorious against members ranked above you, it's possible the member will jump over you in rank and you will move down one rung. This depends on the ranks involved.
  • Example(per 50% rank gain) :You are currently ranked #7. If the #10 ranked member defeats the #1 ranked member, then #10 will advance to the #5 rung and you will fall to the #8 rung.

• League Names
  • If your League name is deemed offensive or contains profanity, your account may be removed.
  • If your League name is deemed abusive towards another member, your account may be removed.
  • You can edit your League name by using the ‘My Account’ tab and choosing the ‘Edit Username’ option. If you have problems changing your League name, please use the ‘Contact Admin’ link, located on the 'Support' tab.
• E-mail Address
  • Your E-mail address must be kept current at all times, in case you need to be contacted. You can use the 'Edit E-mail Address' link on the 'My Account' tab to edit your E-mail address.
• Password Security
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
  • You are not permitted to share your password with anyone for any reason.
• Inactivity
  • In order to keep the League as dynamic as possible, your account will be automatically deleted if you are inactive for 255 days. However, one of the features of our Premium Membership Program is never being deleted for inactivity. Information regarding our Premium Membership Program can be found here .
• Multiple Accounts
  • Only one account is allowed per person. There are no exceptions to this rule.
  • It is forbidden for more than one person to use or share the same account.
  • Multiple accounts from the same location will be investigated and possibly removed.

• Chat
  • The best way to find League matches is to announce in chat that you are looking for a League match so that other members will know you are interested in League-play. You can also directly challenge a specific member in chat.
• Formal Challenges
  • Most Leagues permit the use of Formal Challenges. A complete overview of the Formal Challenge system can be found here .
• 15 time(s) Per Day
  • You may play the same member 15 time(s) per day. However, you may play as many different members as you would like on any given day. A “MyLeague” day begins at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
• Verify Information
  • We recommend you ensure a potential opponent is also a member of the League before starting your match. You can do this very easily by searching for your opponent using the 'Search for Players' tool.

• Opponents
  • You are not allowed to report losses to another member that also plays from the same computer as you. Our security software will detect this activity if it is attempted, and participating accounts may be penalized or removed.
• Sportsmanship
  • The same rules that apply to behavior in chat (covered in a later section) also apply during matches.

• Reporting the Loss
  • In one-on-one matches, the loser of the match reports the loss to the winner.
  • In partner matches, each member of the losing team reports a loss to both partners of the winning team. At the end of the match, you would either gain two wins or report two losses.
  • In “free for all” matches (matches in which multiple opponents are competing against each other without partners), each loser of the match must report a loss to one overall winner.
  • When playing matches with more than one opponent, it is important for losses to be reported in the proper order if rank will be affected by the order of report. You must report to the better-ranked opponent first in those cases. It is your responsibility to make sure you report in the correct order when necessary. Not doing so may result in penalty.
• Unreported Matches
  • If your opponent does not report their loss within one hour after completing the match or prior to starting another match, you should click on the “Contact Admin” link and then use the “Unreported Match” form.

LEAGUE RULES

The following is CanastaAddicts league rules, Case's rules also apply along with league rules. These rules are to be followed in any type of league game, whether a tournament or a personal league match. Please find the time to read through our league rules. ALL league rules are expected to be followed by every league member no exceptions.
1.This is YOUR league. Treat others as you want to be treated. Please TRY to remember there is a real person on the other side of the screen. The things you say can hurt someone's feelings. No one deserves to be abused. Our staff are all volunteers. If you publicly berate or abuse a TD or cause disruption in a TD's tourney that TD has the right to remove you from their tourneys. We all come to play a card game and have fun. We should be able to relax and get along and act like adults.
2. Anyone harassing, disrespecting or cussing at (regardless of spelling) staff or members will result in 1 to 90 days in the box. Members causing disruptions in tourneys or the lobby that prevent staff from carrying out their responsibilities will also result in boxing time up to a maximum of 90 days. Booting members or staff from tourney tables is an automatic 1 day boxing. Continuous harassment can result in removal and banning from the league.
3. If a member swears in the lobby, tourney tables or ladder tables they will be asked to stop, if they continue to swear they can receive 1 to 90 days depending on the severity. We are all adults therefore we ask that you all be considerate of your fellow staff and members. Not all of our members find swearing appropriate. If you swear excessively (over 3 cuss words) before it is caught to warn you it can and will be boxable 1- 90 days so please refrain from swearing.
4. League names are not to contain correct spelling of profanity or sexually explicit content. If your league name is found to be in violation of Case's rules, you will be asked to change to a more appropriate name.
5. All members are only allowed one account per person. Any duplicate accounts will be deleted.
6. No fighting or disruptive behaviour in the lobby will be tolerated. This ruins everyone's fun. If you have a problem with someone, take it private. If you cannot solve the problem, then bring it to the admin's attention and we will help you to try and solve it. Any fighting in the lobby will result in 1 to 90 days in the penalty box, depending on the severity of the situation.
7. If a member is found to be contributing to a lobby disturbance made by a league member or non league member they will be issued 1(one) warning and if they continue they will be boxed mandatory 3 days if they continue after boxing more days will be added. Please put non league members who are in lobby to cause problems on ignore.
8. Anyone found to be changing names in order to come to the lobby and cause a disturbance will be boxed the same as if in league name. It is the person, not the id that is a member. If a member withdraws to violate a league rule(s) and rejoins the league, they will be boxed for the amount of days for the violations. If a member withdraws to avoid boxing and rejoins the league they will be boxed for the days that they should have been boxed for as well as have added days for withdrawing to avoid boxing, No exceptions.
9. If you suspect a player has cheated in a game against you, PLEASE notify an admin about this and DON'T take it public either at the table or to the lobby. If you are caught accusing a person you will be placed in the box for 1 day the 1st time, 10 days the 2nd time, and 30 days the 3rd time.
10. League games need to be reported A.S.A.P. If you have problems reporting a match please ask an Admin to assist you. If you fail to report a league match within 1 day after the match was played, you will be warned for the 1st time, 2nd offense will be 1 day in the box, 3rd offense will be 3 days in the box, 4th offense will be 10 days in the box, 5th offense will result in the kick and ban of your account.
11. We gladly welcome staff from other leagues that may wish to play here, however HA's will not be allowed to TD for us and Admin and HTD's from other leagues will only be allowed on staff as TD's only.
12. Although we cannot force it, good sportsmanship is encouraged, it is common courtesy to say GH, GG, NRetc. We do expect our TD's to exhibit this behavior when they are playing. We can not expect the members to do it if we ourselves do not.
13. Please use the complaint box for any complaints that you may have. Do not send IM's with a complaint unless it is an urgent situation. The admin are only human and we might forget your complaint other wise. The complaint link can be found in the left column on the league page. We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint and will get back to you A.S.A.P in regards to that complaint. We also welcome your comments and suggestions. A suggestion box has also been added in the left column for your convenience . . here.

• Inactivity
  • Members in the Top Ten must play a League match at least once every 5 days; otherwise, you will be automatically dropped five rungs and your inactivity counter is reset. There are no exceptions to this rule.

• Cheating
  • If you believe your opponent is cheating, then you should contact the Admin staff.
• Abuse
  • It is forbidden to abuse or harass another League member.
  • It is important to remember that two wrongs do not make a right. If you are being harassed by another League member, contact the Admin staff for assistance. Do not take matters into your own hands or return the abuse, or you could be penalized as well.
• Nice Guy Rule
  • Please note that behavior guidelines govern all methods of communication. This includes chat, E-mail, message forums, instant messenger services, etc. Treat other members with respect!
