The Ranking System!
MyLeague has one of the simplest ranking systems ever used for competitive play. The concept was adopted from the ranking system used on the official Case’s Ladders. We call it a "Ladder" because each member holds a unique rank or "rung" that represents their standing among other members. The highest-ranked member holds the #1 Ladder position; for example, someone ranked #2 is ranked below the #1 member. The goal is to "climb" the Ladder all the way to the top!
  • When you first join, you are placed in an “Unranked” category on the League.
  • You become "Ranked" after winning your first League match. (Unranked members may play each other, and the winner becomes ranked at the bottom of the League.)
  • When you defeat a higher-ranked member, you move up in rank 50% the distance between their rank and your own.
    • Example: If you are ranked #50 and you beat the #1 ranked member, then your new rank would be 25.
  • Your rank on the League does not go down if you lose a match unless your opponent is ranked DIRECTLY below you.
    • Example: If you are ranked #5 and the #6 ranked member defeats you, then your new rank would be #6.
    • When members ranked below you are victorious against members ranked above you, it's possible the member will jump over you in rank and you will move down one rung. This depends on the ranks involved.
      • Example(per 50% rank gain) :You are currently ranked #7. If the #10 ranked member defeats the #1 ranked member, then #10 will advance to the #5 rung and you will fall to the #8 rung.

    Account Rules
    • League Names
      • If your League name is deemed offensive or contains profanity, your account may be removed.
      • If your League name is deemed abusive towards another member, your account may be removed.
      • You can edit your League name by using the ‘My Account’ tab and choosing the ‘Edit Username’ option. If you have problems changing your League name, please use the ‘Contact Admin’ link, located on the 'Support' tab.
    • E-mail Address
      • Your E-mail address must be kept current at all times, in case you need to be contacted. You can use the 'Edit E-mail Address' link on the 'My Account' tab to edit your E-mail address.
    • Password Security
      • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
      • You are not permitted to share your password with anyone for any reason.
    • Inactivity
      • In order to keep the League as dynamic as possible, your account will be automatically deleted if you are inactive for 60 days. However, one of the features of our Premium Membership Program is never being deleted for inactivity. Information regarding our Premium Membership Program can be found here .
    • Multiple Accounts
      • Only one account is allowed per person. There are no exceptions to this rule.
      • It is forbidden for more than one person to use or share the same account.
      • Multiple accounts from the same location will be investigated and possibly removed.

    Challenges
Note: Please consult the Admin staff regarding whether or not League challenges are permitted for this League. A challenge is defined as a request for a match with a higher-ranked member. Whether you are the challenger or the one being challenged, there are some rules that must be followed. Violating these rules may result in penalties. If you notice anyone violating these rules, please contact the Admin staff.
    • Chat
      • The best way to find League matches is to announce in chat that you are looking for a League match so that other members will know you are interested in League-play. You can also directly challenge a specific member in chat.
    • Formal Challenges
      • Most Leagues permit the use of Formal Challenges. A complete overview of the Formal Challenge system can be found here .
    • 30 time(s) Per Day
      • You may play the same member 30 time(s) per day. However, you may play as many different members as you would like on any given day. A “MyLeague” day begins at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
    • Verify Information
      • We recommend you ensure a potential opponent is also a member of the League before starting your match. You can do this very easily by searching for your opponent using the 'Search for Players' tool.

    Playing a Match
Once you are ready to start playing a League match, there are some guidelines governing game play that you should keep in mind.
    • Opponents
      • You are not allowed to report losses to another member that also plays from the same computer as you. Our security software will detect this activity if it is attempted, and participating accounts may be penalized or removed.
    • Sportsmanship
      • The same rules that apply to behavior in chat (covered in a later section) also apply during matches.

    Reporting the Match
Once your match is completed, the loser of the match is responsible for reporting the loss immediately. You can report your matches using the 'Report Loss' button located on the 'Standings' tab. Please note the ‘Report Loss’ link should only be used for League matches and not for tournament matches; you should consult the TD with any questions regarding reporting tournament matches. If you have any problems reporting a loss, you should contact the Admin staff and request assistance.
    • Reporting the Loss
      • In one-on-one matches, the loser of the match reports the loss to the winner.
      • In partner matches, each member of the losing team reports a loss to both partners of the winning team. At the end of the match, you would either gain two wins or report two losses.
      • In “free for all” matches (matches in which multiple opponents are competing against each other without partners), each loser of the match must report a loss to one overall winner.
      • When playing matches with more than one opponent, it is important for losses to be reported in the proper order if rank will be affected by the order of report. You must report to the better-ranked opponent first in those cases. It is your responsibility to make sure you report in the correct order when necessary. Not doing so may result in penalty.
    • Unreported Matches
      • If your opponent does not report their loss within one hour after completing the match or prior to starting another match, you should click on the “Contact Admin” link and then use the “Unreported Match” form.

  • Do not start game until TD is invited to table and gives rules of game.

  • Announce at the table first that you will BRB.

  • 3 min. limit on BRB

  • No BRB during a NIL.

  • New table must be made for each game
(You can not stay at a table for your next round game).

  • If a new table is made and it is the same number that one of the teams just played on, either member playing may ask for a new table.

  • While in games let’s keep down the talking about other people on the table. It is very rude and some people’s feelings get hurt.

  • Take other people’s feelings into consideration. If winning or beating your opponents badly, don’t gloat. After all we’ve all been there.

  • There is a 10 SECOND RULE. If you have ping you are expected to play. Slow play will not be tolerated.
If you do not follow the 10 second rapid play rule it will be dealt with in this manner:
1st time results in Player Warning; 2nd time results in Player DQ and replaced by sub.

  • Private messages to your partner are not allowed during a game and team will automatically be DQ’D.

  • Winners will be announced in lobby in caps by TD.

    VISITORS

  • Visitors may come to table and watch a league game but must remain quiet.

  • Visitors must leave table if asked to do so by TD or players.

  • If someone comes to your table cussing, bashing, etc., boot person from table and make room private.

  • Invite Admin and tell what happened.

  • Do not boot a visitor who kibitzs your game (this may be a potential new member)
but explain to them this is a tournament game and please do not kibitz

    SUBS

  • One original member of the team must be playing at all times.

  • DQ of the team will result when neither team member is present to play. This includes finals.

  • Automatic DQ of a player that is invited to a tourney game and refuses to come to table because they are in another game.

  • Their partner has the right to find a sub to replace the DQ’d person and finish the tourney.

  • All credit goes to the sub for the tourney.

  • There is a 12 minute reboot time or player replacement time allowed in all tourneys.

  • If a player is absent, call TD to start timer.

  • Players have a choice of a sub if the person they request is available. Subs are allowed as long as they are a league member.

  • Regular rated games

  • The host must wait 4 minutes before acquiring a sub to sit for the booted player.

  • If a sub has not been acquired within 12 minutes total time, the team will be disqualified

  • (DQ’D)

  • Subs may start a regular tourney. If sub starts the very first hand, sub has to finish that game, even if original player returns. Original player can resume in next round.

  • Subs may start a “random partner tourney” even if partner is idle in lobby.

  • Unrated games

  • A sub may be acquired immediately, no wait time needed.

  • If a sub has not been acquired within 12 minutes total time, the team will be

  • DQ’D.

  • If a sub is needed in an unrated game, and original player returns, sub should
finish the hand they are playing and then stand.

    MISBIDS IN GAMES

  • Regular Rated games: Only misbid is a Double Nil (DN).

  • If you DN it is an automatic DQ.

  • The team that misbids must take a trick and the game is to be finished by either 12/60/500.

  • Misbid penalties apply to both the original player or a sub, should either misbid during a match.

  • Unrated games (Forced Bid Games):
1st misbid = -100 pts. Team who misbid. Hand is skipped and play resumed
2nd misbid = Automatic DQ of team who misbid and game is ended.
TD will deduct 100 pts. for misbid from total score at end of game and declare winner of match

PERSONAL BEHAVIOR EXPECTED IN CHILLIN FAMILY

  • All players must conduct themselves in an orderly fashion.

  • No rudeness or abusive language to TD or other members will be tolerated.

  • No cussing, no pard/opp bashing.

  • The terms LMAO and LMBO can be used since these are common PC terms.

  • To respect the rights of all players, issues/problems are best solved in private room or by messenger.

  • Outbursts in the lobby are not acceptable and are an act of poor sportsmanship (take it out of lobby).

  • If there is a problem, please feel free to message the TD and, if possible, a private table can be made and another TD called to help resolve any issues that might arise.

PENALTY FOR POOR BEHAVIOR OR CHEATING

  • Chillin League no longer needs a reason to kick someone.

  • Any player that disrespects another member of the league can be subject to immediate kick off/ban from league if offense is determined by administrative staff to be malicious. Offenses are generally handed this way. First offense : Verbal or Written warning; Second offense : 7 days of penalty box time; Third offense : Removal from league

  • However, depending on severity of offense, Administrative Staff has the right to skip warning and penalty box and may elect to ban from league immediately. This includes but is not limited to bashing Chillin League or bashing administrators of Chillin League.

  • Accusing members of using card counters or cheating without proof is prohibited in chillins. You must keep in mind that some members have been playing here for years. Do not accuse people of cheating because you lose. Penalty of false accusations is time in the penalty box.

  • We cannot always prove cheating so this is how we handle that issue. If we suspect cheating due to good ping, and slow play are continuous, odd and/or suspicious plays, we will kick and ban from the league and live with that decision be us right or wrong.

    CHEATING OR MISCONDUCT IN GAMES

  • Cheating is not allowed.

  • No card counters allowed.

  • Private messages to your partner are not allowed. Team is automatically DQ’D

  • No padded IDs.

  • You may not be in another game or tournament while in a Chillin League Tourney. If caught doing so, you will automatically be DQ’D and replaced by a sub.

    WITHDRAWAL FROM LEAGUE

  • Any member who withdraws from the league can rejoin IF there was no drama or problems caused by the member.

  • You must rejoin with same ID.

  • A member who rejoins cannot bring a provi ID. But if you are a new member or haven’t been in Chillins for at least 3 months you may use a provi ID if needed.

  • Once a member has joined you may only change your ID once every 30 days. If you change your league ID, it cannot be to a provie ID, it must be rated

  • Certain things may affect this rule. Check with an Admin. If you feel thee is a reason you need to change.

    THANK YOU!!
CHILLIN STAFF IF ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK

    Fill in the Blank
Although we have tried to be as detailed as possible, we can’t cover every aspect of gaming in our rules. Please be advised that just because something is not stated in our rules and policies, then that does not mean it is allowed. Use common sense. If it is something that will adversely affect other members and you might think twice about it, then it’s probably against the rules. The Admin staff will have the final say in such matters. If you have a specific question please feel free to contact us via E-mail.
