Overview

Case's Ladder exists to provide it's users a competitive gaming atmosphere as well as a friendly online community. All players are expected to carry themselves as professionals and hold all other members in this community with the utmost respect. When competing in tournaments, refrain from using any offensive language or behavior. Always give Case's Ladder Staff Members the benefit of the doubt and know that their decisions and rulings are not open for debate. In general, and most important of all, be honest and fair in all that you do and have fun while doing so.

General Playing Guidelines

Hardware configuration and reliability is the player's responsibility. If a match is being severely delayed due to a player's bad connection or computer problems, the Tournament Staff reserves the right to disqualify that player. Be sure to test out all of your hardware equipment before the tournament so that you are ready to compete on time.

Obtain a strong understanding of both the game and the platform on which it is played. The players are responsible for familiarizing themselves with both the game being played, as well as the platform on which it is played. If there are any problems or questions regarding the platform (i.e. Yahoo, Pogo, MSN Zone, etc.), they must be settled between the player and the Support System for that platform. Case's Ladder is not responsible for any player's knowledge or lack thereof of the various gaming platforms.

Specific Playing Guidelines

Specific tournament rules will vary for each tournament depending on Ladder, League, or gaming platform. A complete list of rules for each tournament can be viewed by clicking on the 'Rules' link of any tournament page. Contact the hosting Tournament Director for any questions regarding a scheduled tournament.

IF YOU ARE REGISTER FOR MORE THEN ONE TOURNEY, YOU MAY BE RISKING A CHANCE ON BEING DQ'D. TOURNEYS WILL BE STARTED ON TIME WHEN THE MINIMUM JUMPERS REQUIRE ARE PRESENT. WE WILL NOT ISSUE THE BOOT TIMER IF YOUR STILL IN PREVIOUS TOURNEY.

PLEASE CHECK TABLE SETTINGS BEFORE YOU SIT AT TABLE. IT IS THE OPPONENTS RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK TABLE. IF A QUESTION ON SETTINGS. PLEASE ASK HOST OR HAVE YOUR OPPONENT CORRECT WHAT NEEDS CORRECTED NICELY IN LOBBY.

PLEASE ALWAYS BE A GOOD LOSER AND A GRACIOUS WINNER. AS THIS WILL ALWAYS MAKE IT PLEASANT FOR ALL. REMEMBER TO SAY HI, GOOD LUCK AND THANK YOU, GOOD GAME.

WE NEVER ACCUSE ANYONE OF CHEATING IN LOBBY. JOKING OR NOT. IF A CONCERN, BRING IT TO THE HOST'S ATTENTION PER INSTANT MESSENGER, PRIVATE CHAT OR TABLE ONLY. WE WILL BOX PLAYERS FOR ACCUSING OTHERS OF CHEATING IN MAIN LOBBY.

WATCHERS MAY JOIN A TABLE IF AGREED BY BOTH PLAYERS AND IF ASKED HOST. REMEMBER TO KEEP CHATTER DOWN SO GAME PLAY CONTINUES ON TIME.

NON WINNER ALWAYS REPORT IN LOBBY TO HOST AS SOON AS MATCH IS COMPLETED.

HOSTS ARE IN CHARGE OF TOURNEY THEY SET. IF PROBLEM WITH THE TOURNEY OR OPPONENT IN THAT TOURNEY. YOU GO TO THE HOST RUNNING THAT TOURNEY 1ST. NEVER TAKE IT TO ANOTHER HOST. MAY TAKE THE ISSUE TO ANOTHER HTD OR ADMIN. IF NOT RESOLVED BY HOST RUNNING TOURNEY.

PLEASE REMEMBER..... ONCE AN ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED. NO FURTHER TALK AMONGST OTHER PLAYERS OR STAFF. IF FOUND TO BE CONTINUING THE ISSUE TO OTHERS. YOU WILL BE BOXED. NO EXCEPTIONS.

BE RESPECTFUL TO ALL LEAGUE MEMBERS, STAFF AND NON LEAGUE PLAYERS IN THE GAME ROOMS. IF A PROBLEM WITH A NON LEAGUE PLAYER. PLEASE MUTE THEM AND DO NOT ENGAGE AN ARGUMENT WITH THEM.

AT NO TIME IS ARGUING PERMITTED IN THE LOBBY. IF A DISPUTE, TAKE IT TO A TABLE, PRIVATE CHAT OR INSTANT MESSENGER. IF YOU START ARGUING IN LOBBY AND HOST REPEATEDLY ASK YOU TO STOP. YOU CAN BE REMOVED FROM TOURNEY AND BE BOXED.

UNLESS IT'S A 4 PLAYER GAME, CUTTHROAT OR A FUNK GAME. ALL TABLE GAMES MUST USE LEAGUE'S PASSWORD. IF YOU NEED PASSWORD. ASK HOST ONLY FOR PASSWORD. THEY WILL WHISPER IN LOBBY OR SEND IT TO YOU PER INSTANT MESSENGER ONLY. NEVER REPEAT PASSWORD IN LOBBY.

MOST IMPORTANT..... DO NOT ADVERTISE OUR LEAGUE IN ANY GAME ROOM NOT BELONGING TO DDZZ. THIS IS AGAINST CASES RULES.
