Hi there,I have a question about what the rules are regarding removing players from the swiss tournaments. I checked in the league rules and didn't see anything about it. I, several times, have had to ask TD's to remove me at the end of a round, for me having to leave or the tourney running longer than expected, etc., and I have always been told that's fine. Today I needed to leave to start dinner for my family and was told that I could not be removed, and that if I left the win would be given to whoever my opponent would be for the next round. I just wanted to verify what the rule exactly is for this, so I know for the future, and also so maybe the clarification will help out some of the less experienced staff members as well.
Thanks for everything!

I can understand asking to be removed from a tourney for an emergency. What I don't understand is why one would join a tourney if one had to cook dinner. I think in that case the win should definitley go to who the opponent.
Also, I believe TD's should have the the last word on what goes on with their tour.- Removing Players From Tournies View

CZS answered my question tonight, he said td's are allowed to remove players after the start without forfeiting an automatic loss. Thanks!
