For complete game & variations rules, click the Game Rules button on the upper left side of the page. Also, check out the Newbie FAQ button on the main page, for more information on League rules. Below are some quick points to get you started!
We pride ourselves on providing a fun & lighthearted atmosphere in which to play & host tournaments, which is why we have detailed rules and enforce them without exception. They ensure fair tourney play & remove any uncertainties for all players and the hosting TDs. Do NOT ask nor expect the TD to make any exceptions to any of our rules. If you would like to discuss any rule, please contact admin and we will address it directly.
Cheating will not be tolerated and will result in either a warning, boxing or banning from the League. Accusations of cheating in main chat will also not be tolerated. If you have any concerns or suspect any player of cheating, please contact the hosting TD by pc/messenger or contact admin. Cheating can be very difficult to prove and we will not take nor make accusations lightly. All complaints will be investigated thoroughly to determine our actions.
At no time is it acceptable to act out in any game lounge, chat box, messenger or email towards the league, another player or TD. We have not nor will we ever encourage, participate in or tolerate a league, lounge or player war by any means. If you encounter hostile players in a room, please mute them or anytime a TD asks you to mute a player, please do so immediately! Any player who cannot abide by these rules will be issued one of a warning, boxing or banning from the Twisted Raiders League, depending on the severity.
Watch main chat for the TDs instructions, rules, token requests, GO! and stop. Always wait for the TD's GO! prior to beginning any table or token game. In leaderboard games the TD will advise when the first game will be live.
Rules for the tournament will always be run in the game lounge prior to the closing of the tourney and are available on the rules tab of the tournament as well. Make sure to ask the TD if you have any questions as it is the players responsibility to know and play within our game, league and tournament rules!
In Token count games, always write down your own & your opponents score. This will help you and/or the TD determine & correct if an error has been made.
Every game we play has a DQ timer which will always be enforced. This includes players who are not in the room at the start of the round and those who "poof" during a tourney round. In those games where tokens can be lost, our timer is 2 minutes. In all other games the timer is 5 minutes. In table games we have a play timer of 45 seconds, with one extend, and 2 boot timers allowed per round. Unfortunately, if you exceed any play/DQ timer you will be DQ'd for that round, but are allowed to play the next round.
In all timed token count games we have a stop process & timer. The TD will count down from 1 minute to the STOP! Once the STOP appears you have 45 seconds to report your end tokens before the token line appears. TDs will not accept any tokens reported before the STOP and the only exception to reporting after the 45 second token line, is if the rules include the option to report spin. In those games, you MUST report spin, in chat, after the STOP and before the 45 second token line and report immediately upon completion. While no specific timer is enforced for the spin report, typically the spin is completed & you can report either before the token line or within seconds after. Tokens must be reported in main chat, when requested, by the player themselves, no third party or other "reportings" will be accepted.
If both players in a pairing miss the line or are not in the room at the start/end of the round, then the TD will award the win to the player who registered in the tourney first after the DQ timers have been exceeded, with no exceptions.
Our TDs are instructed not to remove players from the tournament. If you have registered and have to leave during or at the start, please withdraw yourself from the tournament. Exceptions may be made for players who are not in the room at the start of the tournament, but at best will only be removed after the completion of the second round.
