MyLeague has one of the simplest ranking systems ever used for competitive play. The concept was adopted from the ranking system used on the official Case’s Ladders. We call it a "Ladder" because each member holds a unique rank or "rung" that represents their standing among other members. The highest-ranked member holds the #1 Ladder position; for example, someone ranked #2 is ranked below the #1 member. The goal is to "climb" the Ladder all the way to the top!
- When you first join, you are placed in an “Unranked” category on the League.
- You become "Ranked" after winning your first League match. (Unranked members may play each other, and the winner becomes ranked at the bottom of the League.)
-
When you defeat a higher-ranked member, you move up in rank 50% the distance between their rank and your own.
- Example: If you are ranked #50 and you beat the #1 ranked member, then your new rank would be 25.
-
Your rank on the League does not go down if you lose a match unless your opponent is ranked DIRECTLY below you.
- Example: If you are ranked #5 and the #6 ranked member defeats you, then your new rank would be #6.
-
When members ranked below you are victorious against members ranked above you, it's possible the member will jump over you in rank and you will move down one rung. This depends on the ranks involved.
- Example(per 50% rank gain) :You are currently ranked #7. If the #10 ranked member defeats the #1 ranked member, then #10 will advance to the #5 rung and you will fall to the #8 rung.

League Names
- If your League name is deemed offensive or contains profanity, your account may be removed.
- If your League name is deemed abusive towards another member, your account may be removed.
- You can edit your League name by using the ‘My Account’ tab and choosing the ‘Edit Username’ option. If you have problems changing your League name, please use the ‘Contact Admin’ link, located on the 'Support' tab.
-
E-mail Address
- Your E-mail address must be kept current at all times, in case you need to be contacted. You can use the 'Edit E-mail Address' link on the 'My Account' tab to edit your E-mail address.
-
Password Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
- You are not permitted to share your password with anyone for any reason.
-
Inactivity
- In order to keep the League as dynamic as possible, your account will be automatically deleted if you are inactive for 90 days. However, one of the features of our Premium Membership Program is never being deleted for inactivity. Information regarding our Premium Membership Program can be found here .
-
Multiple Accounts
- Only one account is allowed per person. There are no exceptions to this rule.
- It is forbidden for more than one person to use or share the same account.
- Multiple accounts from the same location will be investigated and possibly removed.
-
Chat
- The best way to find League matches is to announce in chat that you are looking for a League match so that other members will know you are interested in League-play. You can also directly challenge a specific member in chat.
-
Formal Challenges
- Most Leagues permit the use of Formal Challenges. A complete overview of the Formal Challenge system can be found here .
-
12 time(s) Per Day
- You may play the same member 12 time(s) per day. However, you may play as many different members as you would like on any given day. A “MyLeague” day begins at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
-
Verify Information
- We recommend you ensure a potential opponent is also a member of the League before starting your match. You can do this very easily by searching for your opponent using the 'Search for Players' tool.
-
Opponents
- You are not allowed to report losses to another member that also plays from the same computer as you. Our security software will detect this activity if it is attempted, and participating accounts may be penalized or removed.
-
Sportsmanship
- The same rules that apply to behavior in chat (covered in a later section) also apply during matches.
-
Reporting the Loss
- In one-on-one matches, the loser of the match reports the loss to the winner.
- In partner matches, each member of the losing team reports a loss to both partners of the winning team. At the end of the match, you would either gain two wins or report two losses.
- In “free for all” matches (matches in which multiple opponents are competing against each other without partners), each loser of the match must report a loss to one overall winner.
- When playing matches with more than one opponent, it is important for losses to be reported in the proper order if rank will be affected by the order of report. You must report to the better-ranked opponent first in those cases. It is your responsibility to make sure you report in the correct order when necessary. Not doing so may result in penalty.
-
Unreported Matches
- If your opponent does not report their loss within one hour after completing the match or prior to starting another match, you should click on the “Contact Admin” link and then use the “Unreported Match” form.

Top Ten
The purpose of the League is to climb to the top and the competition for the rungs in the Top Ten is high. As such, we have special rules that apply for members in the Top Ten.-
Inactivity
- Members in the Top Ten must play a League match at least once every 31 days; otherwise, you will be automatically dropped five rungs and your inactivity counter is reset. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Expected Behavior
As a member of MyLeague, you are representing the League, the Admin staff, and all other members when you are participating on a MyLeague. It’s part of your responsibility as a member to act in a respectable manner within your League community.-
Cheating
- If you believe your opponent is cheating, then you should contact the Admin staff.
-
Abuse
- It is forbidden to abuse or harass another League member.
- It is important to remember that two wrongs do not make a right. If you are being harassed by another League member, contact the Admin staff for assistance. Do not take matters into your own hands or return the abuse, or you could be penalized as well.
-
Nice Guy Rule
- Please note that behavior guidelines govern all methods of communication. This includes chat, E-mail, message forums, instant messenger services, etc. Treat other members with respect!
Fill in the Blank
Although we have tried to be as detailed as possible, we can’t cover every aspect of gaming in our rules. Please be advised that just because something is not stated in our rules and policies, then that does not mean it is allowed. Use common sense. If it is something that will adversely affect other members and you might think twice about it, then it’s probably against the rules. The Admin staff will have the final say in such matters. If you have a specific question please feel free to contact us via E-mail. -

Account Rules
Challenges
Note: Please consult the Admin staff regarding whether or not League challenges are permitted for this League. A challenge is defined as a request for a match with a higher-ranked member. Whether you are the challenger or the one being challenged, there are some rules that must be followed. Violating these rules may result in penalties. If you notice anyone violating these rules, please contact the Admin staff.
Playing a Match
Once you are ready to start playing a League match, there are some guidelines governing game play that you should keep in mind.
Reporting the Match
Once your match is completed, the loser of the match is responsible for reporting the loss immediately. You can report your matches using the 'Report Loss' button located on the 'Standings' tab. Please note the ‘Report Loss’ link should only be used for League matches and not for tournament matches; you should consult the TD with any questions regarding reporting tournament matches. If you have any problems reporting a loss, you should contact the Admin staff and request assistance.
Tournaments
The rules for a Tournament are determined by the Tournament Director hosting the event. You will find a summary of each individual Tournament, including a Rules page, if you follow the link for that specific Tournament.
League-Specific Rules
OUR RULES THIS LEAGUE WILL NOT TOLERATE DRAMA OR DISRESPECT OF ANY KIND. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENS, A WARNING WILL BE GIVEN. THE SECOND TIME, YOU WILL BE BOXED FOR 3 DAYS AND UNABLE TO TOUR. IF IT HAPPENS A THIRD TIME YOU WILL BE KICKED FROM THE LEAGUE AND UNABLE TO REJOIN. WE OPERATE UNDER THE ASSUMPTION THAT EVERYONE WHO JOINS IS LOOKING TO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURS IN ORDER TO KEEP THE LEAGUE ALIVE. IF A MEMBER GOES 30 DAYS WITHOUT TOURING AND WITHOUT REQUESTING AN EXTENTION, THEY WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE LEAGUE FOR NON-PARTICIPATION. ANY DISAGREEMENTS WITH OTHER MEMBERS OR STAFF OVER TOUR RESULTS WILL BE TAKEN TO PRIVATE CHAT TO BE WORKED OUT. WE USE THE BOOT TIMER IN CASE A MEMBER IS BOOTED DURING A TOUR. YOU ARE ALLOWED 3 BOOTS FOR A TOTAL OF 5 MINUTES DURING A TOUR. AFTER THE THIRD BOOT OR 5 MINUTES, WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST, YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE ROUND. IF YOU HAVE NOT RETURNED BEFORE THE NEXT ROUND IS READY TO BE GENERATED, YOU WILL BE TAKEN OUT OF THE REST OF THE TOUR. RE-DOS ARE DONE ONLY IF AN ENTIRE ROUND IS MISSED AND NO SCORE WAS ON THE BOARD WHEN YOU WERE BOOTED. LEAVING THE GAME FOR ANY REASON OTHER THAN BEING BOOTED IS YOUR CHOICE AND YOUR SCORE WILL BE HONORED. ANY TYPE OF CHEATING IS GROUNDS FOR IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL FROM THE LEAGUE. THE HOST OF A TOUR HAS THE FINAL SAY ON A DISAGREEMENT. EACH ROUND IS REPORTED TO THE HOST AS WINNER//LOSER UNLESS SPECIFIED DIFFERENTLY BY THE HOST AT THE START OF THE TOUR. CARD GAMES WILL BE PLAYED IN PRIVATE ROOMS WITH THE "ALLOW WATCHERS" OPTION CHECKED. THE HOST WILL ASSIGN A PASSWORD FOR THE TOUR. WE ARE HERE TO COMPETE, BUT MOSTLY WE ARE HERE TO HAVE FUN AND ENJOY OUR FRIENDSHIPS. JOKING IS EXPECTED AND ENCOURAGED AS LONG AS IT IS NOT AT THE HURTFUL EXPENSE OF OTHERS. PLEASE CONSIDER THESE RULES AND YOUR ABILITY TO FOLLOW THEM BEFORE SIGNING UP TO JOIN. THANK YOU. HOW TO LADDER A ladder is a way that you can play another league member to help advance up the ladder to get to first place. It is also another way of increasing your rating. There is no limit to the amount of ladders that you can have with the same person in one day. Ladder matches are to be run in OUR GAME ROOMS ONLY and the tables are to be set the same way as a tournament would be with one exception. You may play a rated ladder match as long as it is agreed upon by both players. It is the responsibility of the players to make sure that the table is set as they wish. Members of the same household may NOT ladder one another unless it is reported by host! You may choose any game we host to ladder with, and any twist you want, as long as it is agreed upon by both players. If there can be no agreement, and it is a formal challenge, please play using the regular rules with no twist. In all instances the loser of the ladder match must report the loss. That is done by using the "report loss box" that is on the top of the main league page along side the jump boxes. The loser has up to 30 min to report the loss. If there are any problems then please use the link on the left side of the main league page and send an email to the admin of the league. If you have any further questions, then please ask a TD in the room for assistance. SINGLE ELIMINATION In a Single Elimination game you play until you lose a round. After your first loss you are out of the tour. Single Elimination games are uses primarily in special event tours such as the Tournament of Champions. There is one single winner at the end of this tour. DOUBLE ELIMINATION In a Double Elimination game you play until you have lost a total of two rounds. After your second loss you are out of the tour. The tour continues for as long as it takes to have one single winner who has not lost twice. There are no "Byes" in a Double Elimination, however, you may occasionally have a stand-by round in which you aren't playing actively for the tour itself. SWISS In a Swiss tour you play in every round whether you lose the previous round or not. The one exception would be if you receive a "Bye" during the tour. There are two types of Swiss Tournaments. The first type, a Regular Swiss, is played until there is one single winner and has no pre-specified number of rounds. The second type, a True Swiss, has a pre-set number of rounds and is the one type of tour in which ties may occur. WHAT IS A "BYE"? The term "Bye" is used to represent an automatic win. Byes are used when the tournament has an odd number of players. Due to the odd number, one person in every round will receive a Bye (automatic win). During a Bye you may choose to play the game for fun or do something else as you wait for the next round to be announced. However, you shouldn't wander too far from your computer or you could miss the next round's pairings and be disqualified. HEY! I GOT BOOTED OFFLINE Online leagues have the disadvantage of dealing with things like power outages, computer failures, and Pogo errors. In an instance where a member is booted offline for whatever reason, this is the standard rule. If you were booted before you had a score on the board for the current game round, you will receive a re-do round with your pair upon your return (provided it is with-in the allotted 5 minute period). If a score was on the board for you, you will continue to play upon your return and do your best to make up for lost time. The host will place booted members on a timer. You are allowed 3 boots or a total of 5 minutes during a round. After the 3rd boot or the 5 minutes, whichever comes first, you will be disqualified from that round. If you have not returned before the next round is generated, you will be removed from the rest of the tour. LEADER-BOARD GAMES Any game that has a leader board, such as Bowling, Lottso, Dice City Roller, Poppa Zoppa, etc., will be scored as follows. At the start of each round you will be given your pair. Please remember who you are playing so as not to create confusion for the Host at the end of the round. After each round the Host will ask you to "Report". When the final scores are posted each person playing in that round will report the winner//loser of their pair in the main chat area. Please try to hold your chat down while scores are collected to make it easier on your Host. If you have a "Bye" PLEASE refrain from posting in chat with such things as ME//Byeguy as they only take up chat space and create confusion for the Host of the game. TOKEN COUNT GAMES Unless specified differently by the Host of a game, all token count games are done as followed. When your host asks for you token count or your digits, you will look at the game board to find your Pogo token total. You will then type the LAST 5 digits of that token total in chat for the Host to collect. You will give these totals before and after each round unless you have a "Bye" or the Host has your unchanged count from the previous round. These games are done in timed rounds. The Host will tell you the number of minutes in each round and will give time updates as the round progresses. Your game should remain idle between each round while the Host figures the next round pairs. PLEASE DO NOT PLAY BETWEEN ROUNDS. You are expected to respond promptly when the Host calls STOP and asks for your token count. The only exception would be if you happen to be in the middle of a bonus round or a spin and are unable to pause the game. In those cases, please report "BONUS ROUND" or "SPIN" in chat, so the Host knows why you are delaying your reponse. If you receive tokens during your tour for Pogo challenge badges, Personal challenges, Premium album badges, Mix and Match badges, or any other extra credit tokens, you are responsible to report the win and token amount to the game Host so that they can be deducted from your tour score. 8-BALL, 9-BALL, & CUT-THROAT POOL
