MyLeague has one of the simplest ranking systems ever used for competitive play. The concept was adopted from the ranking system used on the official Case’s Ladders. We call it a "Ladder" because each member holds a unique rank or "rung" that represents their standing among other members. The highest-ranked member holds the #1 Ladder position; for example, someone ranked #2 is ranked below the #1 member. The goal is to "climb" the Ladder all the way to the top!
- When you first join, you are placed in an “Unranked” category on the League.
- You become "Ranked" after winning your first League match. (Unranked members may play each other, and the winner becomes ranked at the bottom of the League.)
-
When you defeat a higher-ranked member, you move up in rank 50% the distance between their rank and your own.
- Example: If you are ranked #50 and you beat the #1 ranked member, then your new rank would be 25.
-
Your rank on the League does not go down if you lose a match unless your opponent is ranked DIRECTLY below you.
- Example: If you are ranked #5 and the #6 ranked member defeats you, then your new rank would be #6.
-
When members ranked below you are victorious against members ranked above you, it's possible the member will jump over you in rank and you will move down one rung. This depends on the ranks involved.
- Example(per 50% rank gain) :You are currently ranked #7. If the #10 ranked member defeats the #1 ranked member, then #10 will advance to the #5 rung and you will fall to the #8 rung.
-
League Names
- If your League name is deemed offensive or contains profanity, your account may be removed.
- If your League name is deemed abusive towards another member, your account may be removed.
- You can edit your League name by using the ‘My Account’ tab and choosing the ‘Edit Username’ option. If you have problems changing your League name, please use the ‘Contact Admin’ link, located on the 'Support' tab.
-
E-mail Address
- Your E-mail address must be kept current at all times, in case you need to be contacted. You can use the 'Edit E-mail Address' link on the 'My Account' tab to edit your E-mail address.
-
Password Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
- You are not permitted to share your password with anyone for any reason.
-
Inactivity
- In order to keep the League as dynamic as possible, your account will be automatically deleted if you are inactive for 90 days. However, one of the features of our Premium Membership Program is never being deleted for inactivity. Information regarding our Premium Membership Program can be found here .
-
Multiple Accounts
- Only one account is allowed per person. There are no exceptions to this rule.
- It is forbidden for more than one person to use or share the same account.
- Multiple accounts from the same location will be investigated and possibly removed.
-
Chat
- The best way to find League matches is to announce in chat that you are looking for a League match so that other members will know you are interested in League-play. You can also directly challenge a specific member in chat.
-
Formal Challenges
- Most Leagues permit the use of Formal Challenges. A complete overview of the Formal Challenge system can be found here .
-
2 time(s) Per Day
- You may play the same member 2 time(s) per day. However, you may play as many different members as you would like on any given day. A “MyLeague” day begins at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
-
Verify Information
- We recommend you ensure a potential opponent is also a member of the League before starting your match. You can do this very easily by searching for your opponent using the 'Search for Players' tool.
-
Opponents
- You are not allowed to report losses to another member that also plays from the same computer as you. Our security software will detect this activity if it is attempted, and participating accounts may be penalized or removed.
-
Sportsmanship
- The same rules that apply to behavior in chat (covered in a later section) also apply during matches.
-
Reporting the Loss
- In one-on-one matches, the loser of the match reports the loss to the winner.
- In partner matches, each member of the losing team reports a loss to both partners of the winning team. At the end of the match, you would either gain two wins or report two losses.
- In “free for all” matches (matches in which multiple opponents are competing against each other without partners), each loser of the match must report a loss to one overall winner.
- When playing matches with more than one opponent, it is important for losses to be reported in the proper order if rank will be affected by the order of report. You must report to the better-ranked opponent first in those cases. It is your responsibility to make sure you report in the correct order when necessary. Not doing so may result in penalty.
-
Unreported Matches
- If your opponent does not report their loss within one hour after completing the match or prior to starting another match, you should click on the “Contact Admin” link and then use the “Unreported Match” form.
-
Inactivity
- Members in the Top Ten must play a League match at least once every 3 days; otherwise, you will be automatically dropped five rungs and your inactivity counter is reset. There are no exceptions to this rule.
-
Cheating
- If you believe your opponent is cheating, then you should contact the Admin staff.
-
Abuse
- It is forbidden to abuse or harass another League member.
- It is important to remember that two wrongs do not make a right. If you are being harassed by another League member, contact the Admin staff for assistance. Do not take matters into your own hands or return the abuse, or you could be penalized as well.
-
Nice Guy Rule
- Please note that behavior guidelines govern all methods of communication. This includes chat, E-mail, message forums, instant messenger services, etc. Treat other members with respect!
Account Rules
Challenges
Note: Please consult the Admin staff regarding whether or not League challenges are permitted for this League. A challenge is defined as a request for a match with a higher-ranked member. Whether you are the challenger or the one being challenged, there are some rules that must be followed. Violating these rules may result in penalties. If you notice anyone violating these rules, please contact the Admin staff.
Playing a Match
Once you are ready to start playing a League match, there are some guidelines governing game play that you should keep in mind.
Reporting the Match
Once your match is completed, the loser of the match is responsible for reporting the loss immediately. You can report your matches using the 'Report Loss' button located on the 'Standings' tab. Please note the ‘Report Loss’ link should only be used for League matches and not for tournament matches; you should consult the TD with any questions regarding reporting tournament matches. If you have any problems reporting a loss, you should contact the Admin staff and request assistance.
Tournaments
The rules for a Tournament are determined by the Tournament Director hosting the event. You will find a summary of each individual Tournament, including a Rules page, if you follow the link for that specific Tournament.

RULES
1 - WELCOME TO THE PRIME TIME
LADDER
After all, you were invited to join Primetime because a
current member
knows you. This is undoubtedly because they have enjoyed
"ladder" play
with you in the past. All of our rules are listed below. However,
some
of our rules are quite unique to our ladder. Here is a sampling of
just
a few of the policies which set us apart from other ladders:
· Our number one credo, and the VERY THING THAT MAKES US SPECIAL,
is
that we enjoy "friendly, sportsmanlike matches" with
people that we
like. While this seems the very nature of online gaming, we have
found
some groups to be more competitive, and less
accommodating.
· We have NO FORMAL CHALLENGE.
We found this to be cumbersome and not altogether apropos for the
size
of our ladder. Perhaps when we are considerably larger, we will
reconsider.
· We have NO LEAPFROG RULE.
Leapfrogging is the very essence of ladder play, and while it may
seem
frustrating as you get closer to number one, we have found that the
potential of being leapt encourages playing more often, which, in
turn,
keeps the ladder moving and growing.
· We have NO UP% RULES. This allows for any member to have a shot
at the
top ranks. However, all members are expected to attempt to play as
many
down matches as they play up matches whenever possible. Rank
mongering
is not within the spirit of the ladder and may be penalised. Rank
mongering is constantly challenging higher ranked players while not
being as readily available to play lower ranked players.
· We host a regular
schedule
of "Matchmaker Matches" (tournaments) in which you do
your own reporting.
· To our knowledge, we are the only ladder that "rungs"
the number 1
player to the bottom of the ranks when he or she succumbs to the
number
2 player!
The members of this ladder are here to have fun and at all times
strive
to be courteous and pleasant. Not only courteous to the members of
this
ladder but to all players on all ladders. We will demonstrate
sportsmanship in our matches and sportsmanship towards others in
their
matches.
The ladder matches are presently played at Safe Harbor Games,
http://www.safeharborgames.net/ , in Private
ladder room - Prime Time. Membership to this ladder is
by “invitation only”.
Locate a PRIME TIME player to sponsor you. Your sponsor is required
to
E-Mail pt.nominations@gmail.com with a
recommendation which
must include the player’s nickname, first name, E-Mail
address.
2 - THE RANKING
MyLeague.com rules apply with the following exceptions :-
Some special rules exist for players ranked in the Top 5, Top 10
and
additionally special rules exist for the Matchmaker matches. These
rules
will be covered in a later section.
3 - ACCOUNT RULES
Since your ladder account is where all your records are kept we
have
some special policies regarding it. These are very important and
you
should pay close attention to them.
(a) - E-mail Address
MyLeague.com rules apply
(b) - Ladder Names:
Your Ladder name must match the name you use in chat and play your
matches under exactly. This includes spaces, underscores and other
keyboard characters. If it doesn't the match is invalid and your
opponent is not required to report any losses to you. Myleague.com
rules otherwise apply.
(c) - Inactivity:
If you haven't played a match in 90 days you will be automatically
removed for inactivity in order to keep the ladder as dynamic as
possible and give everyone a chance to move up. If you haven't
played a
match in 3 days your win/loss streak will be reset See also "
Top 10
Inactivity ".
Removal for inactivity is completely automated. No exceptions will
be
made to this rule. Our players want an active league full of
opponents
who can be easily found.
We offer optional "Gold , Platinum and Diamond
Membership" programs. One
of the benefits to these programs is the fact that you cannot be
purged
for inactivity. This program is recommended for frequent travellers
or
those in the military. Sign-up information can be found on the main
page.
(d) - Multiple Users:
MyLeague.com rules apply
(e) - Non-Activated Accounts:
If an account is not activated within 17 days of membership
approval or
the newly approved member does not play their first match within 21
days
of membership approval this account will be removed from the
ladder.
(Gold, Platinum and Diamond Membership accounts excluded.)
4 - LADDER RULES
If you have any suggestions for rule changes that would improve the
ladder please feel free to submit them to the Players Committee.
No changes to the rules shall be made without the consensus of the
PRIME
TIME Players Committee and the PRIME TIME Administration
members.
The number of points to be played in Matchmaker matches and various
championship matches are included in another section of these rules
and
or will be specified by a director prior to these
matches.
5 - EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR
MyLeague.com rules apply with the following PRIME TIME additions
(a) - PRIME TIME Representatives:
If you have a problem in chat look for a PRIME TIME representative
to
assist you. You can find a current listing of the PRIME TIME
representatives on the PRIME TIME Ladder home page .
Abuse of PRIME TIME Representatives in relation to them doing their
jobs
may result in your removal from the PRIME TIME Ladder. If you are
found
to be guilty of this the PRIME TIME Players Committee will be
notified
for them to take appropriated action. Remember that they are
volunteers
dedicating their time to helping improve the quality of the ladder
for
all.
PRIME TIME Representatives do not have the power to kick, mute, or
ban
other players in chat in most cases. They are a staff presence
available
in chat to help you come to a fair resolution when problems or
disputes
arise. If they cannot help you with the problem themselves they
will get
someone who can or refer you to the proper place to go to report
the
situation. They are there to assist you, so take advantage of
them.
If you have a problem with or wish to file a complaint against a
PRIME
TIME Representative please send it via the CONTACT ADMIN link found
on
the PRIME TIME Ladder home page. Please include all pertinent
information.
(b) - Cheating:

(c) - Abuse:

(d) - Nice Guy Rule:

6 - CHALLENGES
Please note: These policies are PRIME TIME specific. Read them
carefully.
Whether you are the one looking for a match or the one being asked
to
play there are some guidelines that need to be followed.
Violating these may result in penalties.
If you notice anyone
violating these rules please contact the Head
Administrator of this ladder or one of the facilitators as soon as
possible.
(a)
There should be lobby dialogue between the players prior to the
setting
of the match. When members are in the room with their Prime Time
nickname, and are not in a match, they are considered to be
available
for PT matches and are subject to challenges. Players currently in
a
match may not make or accept challenges with the sole exception of
the
1v2 match which may be pre-arranged whilst either or both the #1 or
#2
are in a match as per the special 1v2 challenge rules listed
below.
(b) If you are
challenged you must accept the challenge. You should allow a moment
or
two for others who might also be in the process of making a
challenge
against you, but you may not challenge another
member.
(c)
If you have multiple challenges, then you
should
play any challenge for an unfinished match first, otherwise you
should
type the word "rank" in the lobby. The challengers shall
state their
rank in the lobby. The challenger with the highest rank gets the
match.
(d) If a dispute
arises the challenged player will choose the table and
chair to play the match.
(e)
[rule removed]
(f) You can play the same person twice per day for rank under the conditions listed below. Any other matches with the same person cannot be reported.
1) You are only
obligated to
accept the challenger's first challenge of the day -
accepting the second match is optional.
2) Rematches on the same day must be
mutually agreed to.
3) Matches cannot be back to back whilst there are any other
players
in the room, whether playing or chatting.
(g) Challenges to a player signing up for or participating in a
Matchmaker or PT Tourney are invalid until that player has been
eliminated from that event.
(h) A
complaint of a player not accepting challenges shall be documented
and sent to the Players Committee. If the majority of the PC
concurs
with this documentation the PC may issue a penalty. The penalties
could
be, but are not limited to, warning, loss of a match, reduction in
rank,
or removal from the ladder.
(i) The #1 vs #2 match will have priority over all other matches with the following stipulations:
1) The #1 and #2
players are
obligated to make other members in the room aware of the
upcoming
#1vs#2 match by making a statement in the lobby as soon as
they
arrive that they are there to challenge the #1 or #2
player.
2) The #1 may then wait for the #2 or vice versa while the
other
finishes an existing legal match in the room.
3) If the #1 vs #2 match is set up via another source such
as an
email, the #1 or #2 player may wait a maximum of 5 minutes
after the
scheduled match start time for the opponent to show up
before being
obliged to accept other challenges.
4) Players cannot legally challenge the #1 or #2 player
whilst they
are waiting for the #1 verses #2 match.
5) Unfinished matches do not have priority over the #1 vs
#2 match
6) Once the #1 player loses the top spot to the #2 player, the former #1 MUST NOT play another match for rank until they have been moved to the bottom of the ladder. The former #1 should contact the Head Admin by email and/or MSN to expedite the rank adjustment to the bottom. Failure to comply with the requirement will result in the former #1 being boxed for 2 days for each disallowed match played.
7 - PLAYING A MATCH
Prime Time matches are only to be reported if played in the Prime
Time
Ladder Room at SHG. Any matches played in any other room at SHG or
any
other venue are not reportable to the Prime Time Ladder.
Once you have found an
opponent and you are ready to start your match,
there are some rules about the match to keep in mind.
(a) - Settings:
The automatic doubling cube shall not be used.
As long as BOTH players agree before the match begins matches can
be
played for ANY amount of points. If players cannot agree to the
number
of points to be played then by default it will be a 5-point match
with
the exception of the specialized rules for top 10 players.
If someone starts the game with incorrect settings you should
immediately request the correct settings and wait for them to
reset. If
they refuse to do so leave the game and submit a complaint to one
of the
Administration Members.
It is acceptable for a match to be played for standings in more
than one
ladder. Both players must agree to this prior to the beginning of
the
match. Ladder name must be the same for all ladders.
Top 10 rules apply concerning match points found under “ Game
Settings
for Top Ten playing Top 10 .”
(b) - Failure to Finish
Match:
Once you start a match you are responsible for completing it. If
you
have to leave voluntarily before the game is finished for any
reason it
is considered a loss and you need to promptly report it. If both
players
agree, the match can be saved and considered an unfinished match.
It is
possible that you or your opponent may be disconnected from the
game or
the Internet entirely before your match is finished. The remaining
player shall wait a minimum of five minutes for the booted player
to
return before starting another match. After the five-minute wait
this
match is considered to be an unfinished match.

Players in the Top 10 must play at least once every 3 days. If they
don’t the player is automatically dropped five rungs and their
inactivity counter is reset. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Players in the Top 10 are expected to be as active after they reach
the
top ranks as they were before. If you are playing numerous games a
day
to make it to the Top 10 and then only play once a week to hold
your
rank you may be penalized
(b) - Game Settings:
If two top ten players are playing each other they shall play the
minimum of a five point match.
Top 5
Everyone wants a shot at #1. There should be a lot of activity and
movement at the top of the ladder. The #1 player should play the #2
player as often as possible.
After the #1 player is defeated by the #2 player the former #1 will
be
placed at the bottom of the ladder.
(a) - Game Settings:
When player #1 is playing player #2 the match will consist of 9
points.
9 - REPORTING THE
MATCH
Once your game is completed the loser of the match is responsible

10 - Matchmaker
Matches
Prime Time members shall gather in Prime Time Ladder Room
at SHG for these events.
If a match is set for two players that have played each other twice
on this
day they should advise the Matchmaker and the Matchmaker would
attempt
to assign them different opponents. If not possible to reset the
match
the players will play and the loser will not report the loss of the
match.
The loser of all matches will make the appropriate and immediate
loss
report as in any other Prime Time match with the exception noted
above.
The Matchmaker will attempt to place the # 1 and # 2 ranked players
on
the ladder in different brackets so as not to have the possibility
of
meeting until the finals.
All Standard Matchmaker matches shall be three point matches except
the
final match, which shall be five points. This is an exception to
other
Prime Time rules. However if the # 1 and # 2 ranked players on the
ladder are paired in the finals they will play a 9 point match.
The winners of all matches will advise the Matchmaker they have won
their match in the lobby and wait until given the name and table
for
their next opponent.
The Matchmaker will report the final winners name to the Prime Time
Head
Administrator for rank adjustment.
The Head Administrator will adjust the player’s current rank half
way to
the number one position on the ladder under the existing rules of
the
ladder. A player promoted in this fashion will not be promoted
above
rank six.
The Head Administrator will notify the Web Master of the Prime Time
Home
Page to post the players name on the home page announcing that they
are
“Player of the Week”. When more than one players name has been
reported
the announcement should be “Players of the Week”. If possible keep
a
players name on the home page for seven days.
The matches will be played on various days of the week and at
various
times of the day to accommodate our world community.
The days and times of these matches will be announced to the
membership
either on the Home Page, News Letter or Message Forum.
THIS IS THE END OF THE PRIME TIME SECTION OF THE RULES
Top Ten
The purpose of the League is to climb to the top and the competition for the rungs in the Top Ten is high. As such, we have special rules that apply for members in the Top Ten.
Expected Behavior
As a member of MyLeague, you are representing the League, the Admin staff, and all other members when you are participating on a MyLeague. It’s part of your responsibility as a member to act in a respectable manner within your League community.
Fill in the Blank
Although we have tried to be as detailed as possible, we can’t cover every aspect of gaming in our rules. Please be advised that just because something is not stated in our rules and policies, then that does not mean it is allowed. Use common sense. If it is something that will adversely affect other members and you might think twice about it, then it’s probably against the rules. The Admin staff will have the final say in such matters. If you have a specific question please feel free to contact us via E-mail.
