The Ranking System!
MyLeague has one of the simplest ranking systems ever used for competitive play. The concept was adopted from the ranking system used on the official Case’s Ladders. We call it a "Ladder" because each member holds a unique rank or "rung" that represents their standing among other members. The highest-ranked member holds the #1 Ladder position; for example, someone ranked #2 is ranked below the #1 member. The goal is to "climb" the Ladder all the way to the top!

When you first join, you are placed in an “Unranked” category on the League.
You become "Ranked" after winning your first League match. (Unranked members may play each other, and the winner becomes ranked at the bottom of the League.)
When you defeat a higher-ranked member, you move up in rank 50% the distance between their rank and your own.
- Example: If you are ranked #50 and you beat the #1 ranked member, then your new rank would be 25.
Your rank on the League does not go down if you lose a match unless your opponent is ranked DIRECTLY below you.
- Example: If you are ranked #5 and the #6 ranked member defeats you, then your new rank would be #6.

When members ranked below you are victorious against members ranked above you, it's possible the member will jump over you in rank and you will move down one rung. This depends on the ranks involved.
- Example(per 50% rank gain) :You are currently ranked #7. If the #10 ranked member defeats the #1 ranked member, then #10 will advance to the #5 rung and you will fall to the #8 rung.

Account Rules

League Names
- If your League name is deemed offensive or contains profanity, your account may be removed.
- If your League name is deemed abusive towards another member, your account may be removed.
- You can edit your League name by using the ‘My Account’ tab and choosing the ‘Edit Username’ option. If you have problems changing your League name, please use the ‘Contact Admin’ link, located on the 'Support' tab.
E-mail Address
- Your E-mail address must be kept current at all times, in case you need to be contacted. You can use the 'Edit E-mail Address' link on the 'My Account' tab to edit your E-mail address.
Password Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
- You are not permitted to share your password with anyone for any reason.
Inactivity
- In order to keep the League as dynamic as possible, your account will be automatically deleted if you are inactive for 255 days. However, one of the features of our Premium Membership Program is never being deleted for inactivity. Information regarding our Premium Membership Program can be found here .
Multiple Accounts
- Only one account is allowed per person. There are no exceptions to this rule.
- It is forbidden for more than one person to use or share the same account.
- Multiple accounts from the same location will be investigated and possibly removed.

Challenges

Chat
- The best way to find League matches is to announce in chat that you are looking for a League match so that other members will know you are interested in League-play. You can also directly challenge a specific member in chat.
Formal Challenges
- Most Leagues permit the use of Formal Challenges. A complete overview of the Formal Challenge system can be found here .
3 time(s) Per Day
- You may play the same member 3 time(s) per day. However, you may play as many different members as you would like on any given day. A “MyLeague” day begins at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
Verify Information
- We recommend you ensure a potential opponent is also a member of the League before starting your match. You can do this very easily by searching for your opponent using the 'Search for Players' tool.

Playing a Match

Opponents
- You are not allowed to report losses to another member that also plays from the same computer as you. Our security software will detect this activity if it is attempted, and participating accounts may be penalized or removed.
Sportsmanship
- The same rules that apply to behavior in chat (covered in a later section) also apply during matches.

Reporting the Match

Reporting the Loss
- In one-on-one matches, the loser of the match reports the loss to the winner.
- In partner matches, each member of the losing team reports a loss to both partners of the winning team. At the end of the match, you would either gain two wins or report two losses.
- In “free for all” matches (matches in which multiple opponents are competing against each other without partners), each loser of the match must report a loss to one overall winner.
- When playing matches with more than one opponent, it is important for losses to be reported in the proper order if rank will be affected by the order of report. You must report to the better-ranked opponent first in those cases. It is your responsibility to make sure you report in the correct order when necessary. Not doing so may result in penalty.
Unreported Matches
- If your opponent does not report their loss within one hour after completing the match or prior to starting another match, you should click on the “Contact Admin” link and then use the “Unreported Match” form.

"Sportsmanship is not just about being nice. It is much more important than that. It's about realizing that you could not compete without an opponent and that he/she has the same goal(s) as you." ... Victory is in the quality of competition, not the final score so please remember to say GL, GH & GG to your opp(s) and it's all about having FUN

Respect is an important issue for all of us here. Our staff volunteers a lot of their time to make this a great place to play. Please treat them with the respect they deserve at ALL TIMES!!!
Be respectful of the lobby and your fellow members. While cursing is allowed, there are a few offensive words that will NOT be allowed. The (f-word & c-word) in any form including shorthand that means the same. A warning is not compulsory, it is Admin discretion to issue a warning or not depending on circumstances and severity. Members may be boxed without warning, depending on the severity of the infraction. Anyone found to be changing names in order to come to the lobby and cause a disturbance will be boxed the same as if in league name. It is the person, not the id that is a member. If a member withdraws to violate a league rule(s) and rejoins the league, they will be boxed upon rejoining. We do ask that you please use discretion as we are all different.
If you are offended by the cursing, we strongly encourage you to use the profanity filter provided by Yahoo.
You are not allowed to play Ladder matches againest people who live in the same household as you. You can play friends and relatives who do not live with you, but you should limit league games againest them to one or two a week.
You are not allowed to partner with people who live in the same household as you. This includes anyone who plays from the same physical location, whether or not they actually reside there unless it is a Cheaters Doubles or Tag Team Tourney.
We never allow Force Forfeiting. If you FF on yourself and it's not the cause of Yahoo, you will receive a warning the first time, second time is 3 days in the box. Subsequent offenses will result in an extra 2 days boxing per offense. If you intentionally FF againest your opponent causing them to loose their Yahoo rating and it's not the cause of Yahoo, you will get 3 days in the box the first time, 7 days for the second time and 10 days in the box for the third time. A forth time will result in you being asked to leave the league or be kicked/banned. People play in a league to have fun and not to be ff'd on.
We do not want Cheating to become a major issue. Cheating will not be tolerated. If you are caught cheating, you will be boxed 7 days for the first offense, 30 days for the 2nd, and the 3rd offense will result in a kick and ban from the league. Table talk IS cheating. Table talk is defined as anything said to your partner via tourney table, im's, phone etc. that gives your team an advantage in the game.
Substitutes for Multi Player games: If you are in a multiplayer game and your partner goes MIA before the game has started they have 10 minutes to return; if game was already started, after 5 minutes a substitute can be asked for in the lobby by the remaining team player or the td.
A new table must be made for each round (when available). You are not permitted to keep the same table and seat for an entire tournament.
Recruiting another league in our lobby is againest myleague rules and is boxable.
If a member withdraws to avoid boxing and rejoins the league they will be boxed for the days that they should have been boxed for as well as have added days for withdrawing to avoid boxing, No exceptions.
We are all here for 1 reason. To play cards, meet new friends, and have LOTS of fun. Let’s always remember to have fun. The things that harm leagues can be kept in IM’s. Let’s reserve the lobby for nothing but fun and games. The ONLY way to make it the best place it can be is to always make sure that you’re having fun, enjoying your time, and making friends. PLEASE INVITE THE TD FIRST TO YOUR TABLE TO HELP CUT DOWN ON THE MIA'S.
YOU HAVE 1 MINUTE TO MAKE YOUR TABLE ~~ AFTER THAT YOUR OPPONENT WILL BE ASKED TO MAKE THE TABLE AND TIMER WILL BEGIN AT START OF TIME MATCHES WERE POSTED IN THE LOBBY .
RESTARTS ARE ONLY ALLOWED FOR NEW MEMBERS WITH LESS THEN 20 GAMES PLAYED AND IN FIRST HAND OF THE FIRST ROUND (RD 1 BYE IS EXCEPTION). PLEASE READ ALL RULES CAREFULLY.
MIA's: MIA'S & BRB'S ARE 10 MINUTES IN A FULL GAME. IF YOU MIA AND BRB, IT'S ALL THE SAME, 10 MIN'S TOTAL. IN A SPEED GAME OR 2- HANDER GAME, MIA/BRB TIME IS 5 MIN'S TOTAL. THE GAME CLOCK NEVER STOPS.
BRB: A BRB SHOULD LAST NO LONGER THEN 2 MINUTES, AFTER 2 MINUTES A MIA TIMER WILL BE STARTED AT TIME PLAYER GOES IDLE.
TDS WILL COME TO THE TABLE AND POST THE RULES/START TIME THEN WILL LEAVE THE TABLE. PLAYERS ARE TO POST IN THE LOBBY WINS/LOSSES AS FOLLOWS:
