Nutty has been at the helm for over a year in the position of Head Admin. She deals with more lunatics than Nurse Ratched, but in a much kinder manner. It is a thankless job and we don't thank her enough for doing it.

The Admin devote hours to planning the calendar special events, preparing the newsletter, updating player records, keeping the league pages current and supervising staff. In addition, all Admin also have the additional duty of HTD.

The Directors devote hours to creating tourneys and providing tourneys for our members to enjoy. This is time they could be doing something else, but they choose to give it up freely for the league.

Our staff members are the best you will find on the Internet. They give freely of their time and talents to the league. They deal with more crap on a daily basis than a sanitation worker. I hope you take the time to tell each of them how much you appreciate them and give them a big hug daily.

Second, a few weeks ago I used the comparison of our league to a home. In light of events over the past few weeks, I’m going to use that analogy again.

Our lobby is our home for spades. Most of us consider each other family, not always close family but still family. When someone steps out of line, others try to bring them back in line. Sometimes it works, sometimes they get a “time out” to cool off.

However, if you are new to our league and have just entered our home, you are not family. You are a guest. You may become family but not in one day or possibly even one week. Therefore, you should act like a guest in someone’s home. If you enter our home in a disruptive, aggressive, insulting manner you will not be welcomed to stay. We will gladly show you the front door before you can grab a fistful of Cheetos and a Mountain Dew.

Read the rules. Follow the rules. Respect others. Be a giver, not a taker. If you find that is not possible for you, then don’t let the screen door hit you in the azz as you leave.

  Great post Terry!! U always know the right way to put things and I love the way u spoke of our "family" and "guests". I try my best to make EVERYONE feel welcome and welcome them to our family, but u are right ~ when they are rude ~ noone wants or needs the headache of constantly trying to pacify them.
  As for Nutty ~ she's the best!! And there's not a person in this league that can say she's NOT fair!!! She strongly believes in giving people 2nd and sometimes even 3rd chances (and maybe some of don't think they deserve it ~ but Nutty tries to see "potential" in everyone and I commend her for that!

    I Love you Terry,

    That is the funniest chit around. And very direct...
    I am so proud to be part of this family. It is true we become really close and if you dont believe me than just ask me. A few months ago I went off to rehab and everyone here supported me. In fact I owe people alot to my existence right now, I couldnt afford anything so some people were kind and generous enough to send me money, phone cards, ect ect..I am now sober and clean almost 5 months.. I love Stargazers and have been a member for over a year. Nuts does so much for this league as do all the T.D's.
    The only thing I can see for improvment is a little bit more sportmanship. I played a game tonight and neither oppenent said gga..nor did they post in lobby they didnt wait for game to be called they left. I thought it was alittle rude but sometimes I know losing or not winning...can become frustrating.
    Anyways for all of you that read this

    Congrats Cat! We are all very proud of what you have to for yourself in the past few months. i know it is a lifetime of struggle but I also know you are strong enough to do it.

    Next time those opps don't say gga, call them out on it. We won't stand for such rudeness in Grandma Gazers home!
