For those of you who don't know, Please keep teddie (witchqueen) in your thoughts and prayers.
Here is an email I recieved I would like to pA little history for those who need caught up, Teddie was hospitalized
last week due to complications from her cancer and the need to treat
her. Her pain levels are increasing and medication from a pharmacist
at home isn't quite good enough anymore. Her motor skills are
deteriorating quickly and that complicates any rehab options they were
considering due to safety concerns. Mentally, she is in and out of it
at different times but short term memory is a problem. Her doctor is recommending perhaps releasing her to a nursing home for
a couple of weeks which will give the radiation a chance to take
effect. If there isn't a change for the better after a couple weeks
then we will begin looking at more permanent accommodations, which
could be 24 hour home care or a hospice facility. He also warned me to start preparing myself emotionally because if
this doesn't have the turnaround we are hoping for, he wouldn't expect
her to make it until Christmas. I thought it prudent to pass along the
info as I received it so you would also have the same opportunity to
prepare. Please pass this along to other people you think would like to hear
how she's doing. I am only able to write to the addresses I have with
me here in the hospital and hope it gets to enough people 2nd hand. She's getting the best of care and everything is being done to keep
her comfortable while she's recovering and I am with her through it
all. The only thing I would ask for help with is prayer... We can
never have too much of that and it's needed now more than ever.
God Bless You All!
