Now that you are signed up & registered with the league, let us officially welcome you to Up4Fun! We're sure you will not regret your decision to join us here. On this page will be loads of helpful information that will help you out in several different ways including How To's on log into your account, enter tourneys, check in for tourneys, and many more helpful hints & advice for the new up4fun player. If you ever have any questions or ever need any more help with anything, please by all means contact us immediately. Now that you've been welcomed to the family, let's get started with your tour of our way of doing things in the league.
Note: Some new players have a problem in which they do not receive the activation email so they can activate their new account. If this happens to you, contact one of the admins using the yahoo messenger on rigth side of the page or click support tab at top of page and email us with a notice saying you did not get your activation email. Give us your league player name (exact spelling please), and we can have the account activated for you and send you a notice letting you know it is activated and good to go!
1. Logging into your account - Making sure to log into your account is very important in several different ways. It makes it much easier & faster to enter tourneys, also makes sure that your name appears in any posts you make in our shoutbox as well. Log into your league account at the top right hand corner of our league main page using your league name and password.
2A. Entering tourneys - Entering tourneys requires a fee of bux that is preset by the hosting td. When you signed up with us, you should have answered some questions to earn some bux to start out with. If you chose not to answer those questions, then most likely you don't have very many bux to begin with. Most of our tourneys require 70 ladderbux for participation. If you are low our out of ladderbux to start out with please contact Title_Town at tommy_slinker@yahoo.com or Chbplayer at parxie29@hotmail.com or Dabbs at dabbs19681972@yahoo.com Please provide your league user name when requesting bux and also please put Bux request in the subject line. once you have secured enough bux, the following is information on how to enter our tourneys: First & Foremost, make sure you are logged into your league account. Scroll down about midway down the page until you see the section entitled Tournament Events. Under this banner will be a list of currently set up tourneys for the day. It lists the time tourney is to start, then the host's name, bux charged for entry and the format (1vs 1 or 2 vs 2). Hover your mouse arrow over the host's name and a drop down menu will appear tell you the name of the tourney, what game it is played in and the game room location. At the end of this info will be the word "register". If you are interested in playing in this tournament, and are logged into your account, click register and you will be automatically registered for the tourney. Please arrive in the game room at least 5 minutes prior to start time, so the host can complete a roll call, explain the rules for the tourney and get started on time. To take a look at the next day's calender, under tournament events, click tournament calender, then click the next day's date and any tourneys set for next day will appear for you. Another helpful hint is to be sure to add all of our hosts to your pogo friends lists. This way you can follow them directly to the game rooms. Be sure to come to the game rooms and get the exact spelling of their pogo name due to some small differences in spelling of their league name & pogo name.
2B- Alternate ways of entering tourneys - The above mentioned procedure of entering tourneys is the easiest and fastest. There is another way of entering tourneys that will allow you to view any artwork that the hosts has designed and applied to their tourney pages. As mentioned, the first option is the quickest way but this method only takes a minute or two to do. Same as above, scroll down to tournament events, an hover your mouse arrow over the host's name. Click the host's name...a new window should open for you with the actual tourney page itself. All of the important info as to game, room, location of room etc. will be found on the right hand side of this page. From here you will click register, then enter your league player name, password. Then put check marks in the "read and understand rules" box and also check mark "remember me" if you want your computer to remember this info so you don't have to type it in every time you enter a tourney using this method. 3. Use of the league's ShoutBox - This is a fun way of keeping in touch and leave messages to the league & your league friends. Pretty simple here. Just make sure you are signed into your league account, or your name will only appear as "Guest" in the shoutbox. Please, no foul language of any kind in the shout box, or you will be banned from using it.
4. Use of Back Door links - Sometimes a problem will occur and the game room the tourney is scheduled in will be listed as being full on pogo. Not to worry! On the right hand side of the league page, under the radio station player, you will see a link saying "click here for back doors" Click this and a new page will open up for you. Scroll down just a bit and there you will see a complete list of images of games we play. Just click the image matching the game you're trying to get to and your game window should open instantly for you. If you have any pop up blockers installed on your computer, be sure to disable them first, or try holding down the ctrl key and click the game. Do not release the ctrl key until game window is full open for you. Sometimes, some players have a problem of not seeing a chat box for the rooms when using backdoor links. If this occurs, you may have to adjust your computer's screen resolution or there is always the option of going back to pogo main page and refreshing to see if the room is still full. Regardless, either way, please try to be on time for the tourney's scheduled start time.
5. Links Section - Please take advantage of our league page's Links section located on the right hand side of the main page. here you will find several different site to get pogo tips & tricks and other useful league info.
6. Premium Memberships - Being a premium member is a fun way to earn extra bux, get rid of the ads on main page & many many more cool features. For more info on premium memberships, please check out the news section of our home page.
7. 106TheMix Radio Player - We have you covered for some entertainment as well! That's right, 106TheMix is our official music supplier now. a fully functional radio station taking requests 24 hrs a day. To listen to the music or tune in, simply click play and music shall begin for you. There is a requests button also for you conveneince as well. If music doesn't play for you, refresh the page, and look at top of your screen and double check to see if there is a notice telling you to download windows media player plug in. This is a safe download and will not harm your computer at all. Another trouble shooter here is to always make sure your media player programs and java are update to their respective latest versions.
Note: Some of our games are freebie pogo games and other are for club pogo members only. if you are unsure wether or not the tourney you want to play in is a free game or a club game, please try & contact the host or click support taba at top of league page and email admin with your questions. Also, if you are a free pogo member and have never had a free 5 day pass given to you on your current pogo name, ask the hosts if they can give your a free 5 day club pogo pass. They will be more than glad to help. If they do so, once they say its been sent, go to your email that you used when you signed up with pogo and it should be there to activate!
