My post earlier about Beck's "The One Thing" illustrates an ongoing problem that has caused many people to "disenfranchise" (another dumb word. They just can’t say people don’t give a crap anymore!) from the issues.
For decades America has been sucked into this two party crap without caring what a candidate does after being elected. Those days are dawning on a new one.
The Lame Stream Media can report all they want about the problems within the GOP. That’s ok. Much like the “Blue Dog” Democrats are giving Pelosi and Reid fits about passing the Health Care rape of the middle class; neither party has an oar in the water.
The deficit ballooned under Bush and even worse in the past few months since President Obama has taken office. Both sides point the fingers at each other while both (for the most part) have the same agenda at hand.
Who is to blame?
We The People!
We allowed this to happen. Slobbering all over our self when our party wins; eviscerating the other party when they win. Is there an end in sight? I think so.
You see unlike Algore and other activists might have you believe, the debate is not over. It has only begun. People are waking up, reading history, coming to informed decisions, and like Beck said, “Reading 2000 page bills on the weekend”.
This will not be fun or easy to fix. We will all have to suffer more than we even imagined unless we really want to pass these problems on to our grandchildren. We the People must make it clear to the government that our Republic is not for sale to the highest bidding lobbyist or special interest group.
There was a time in this country that it was ok to fail. Many of the greatest successes in our history arose out of failure. We were built on the idea that you can make what you will of yourself and if you want something out of life it is your responsibility to make it happen. You don’t ask for help from the government. If you came upon hard times, it was you friends, family, and community that offered you a hand up.
These are my personal beliefs. I could care less if you agree or not. I would hope you all have enough sense to make your own determinations about what is right or wrong. We as a planet let alone a nation have more access to information and history than any of our ancestors. The real question is what we do with it.
