Gold membership guarantee

I haven't been a member of my ladder long and I am interested in buying a membership most likly gold if i do choose one. I am hesitant though because this ladder is just starting out and isn't that popular and if the ladder "dies" before my year is up I feel it would be money wasted. I think they should be a guarantee that I could have my gold moved to another ladder in the event a ladder 'dies'
