: I'm not entirely sure of the reason behind the way credit is awarded for running someone else's tourney, but I think this solution was kind of a compromise, splitting the hosting reward between both the TD who made the tourney (and who may have done work promoting it) and the HTD who actually ran it, so that they both could get something for their work. :)
