Hi EveryoneBelow is information with regard to the Hoyle VUG site which was posted late yesterday

To the Hoyle Community,Cases Ladder is pleased to let everyone know that weve come up with a way to keep the site up and running.
For the month of March, everything will continue as-is.
Starting April 1st, in order to cover the costs of upcoming hardware migration, our bandwidth and overhead, we will need to collect a small yearly membership fee. With the economy where it is, we worked very hard to keep the yearly ante (membership fee) as little as possible.
If enough community members sign-up, we can make this work for less than $1.70 a month. Because of the way credit card companies bill us, we do need to collect the full year $20 membership at sign-up.
Please know that weve listened carefully to your feedback and think this amount meets your suggestions. We also heard that you want to give the gift of a membership to a friend. So, when you sign up to your membership, you can sponsor a friend for a year at only $10.
We will provide further updates over the next few weeks as we approach the start of the membership drive.
Please take a moment to complete the following short survey to let us know what you think.

Is this a joke????. They want me to pay $1.70 a month on top of the $9.95 I already pay?. I think Platinum and Diamond Members should be exempt. Do we not pay enough already?, and get nada back for it????. Please do not mention that I can swap 50 million bucks for a pencil!. For the $9.95 I pay a month I could buy ten packs. I'll think about it is all I can promise.Anyone want to sponsor me? lmao. If two players team up then one can sponsor the other and they'll only have to pay $15 each.
Also, if we are paying for it - does that mean they are actually going to fix the login problems and update the security certificate?

I would like to stress that it is NOT Case's who are going to becharging it is the site that one will be paying to access i.e the money paid will go to Encore. This is similar to other pay sites such are Iplay and Heardwood and certain games on Pogo.
Everyone can still join a Case's ladder and NOT be a premium member i.e. Gold, Platinum or Diamond. They are two different entities
I hope this clarifies the matter a little bit.
As mentioned in post above there are a lot of questions being raised and a lot of answers awaited so we will need to see what transpires between now and the beginning of April.
In the meantime please all enjoy your games and good luck
