Hiya everyone,
Recently we have had occasion for new players to meld all 4 black 3's in cases games. This is against the rules in the GSR's and was implemented because of a glitch in the Iplay canasta game here.
TO our seasoned players, I ask that if you are playing a new player, or someone that you have not seen in the room before, First...make sure they are a member of our ladder. Use the "Find Player" link on cases main page. They will show up there if they are a registered cases player.
Second, Before you start a game with a new player, ask them if they have read and are familiar with the rules. I know, they checked the box that said they have read, understood and will abide by all rules....but we all know that rarely happens. :O)
If you play a new player who melds all 4 black 3's....do not report a loss to that person. As the rules states:Game GlitchYou may meld 3 black threes and discard one, but due to a glitch - you may not meld all 4 black threes - and if you do - it's grounds for forfeit and you must report the game as a loss.
This may seem harsh to a new player, but I bet they never forget again LOL
If we all read and abide by the rules as stated on cases main page, our ladder will run smoothly and fairly.
