I am speaking for myself, not for all TD's about this subject.
When I became A TD's I did it on a voluntary basis. Depending on what part of the world we come from (me being England) there is a time difference for a lot of us. I personally book Tournaments to fit in with my home life. If it happens that two of us book two tourneys close together...some people can play in one or the other...not everyone is lucky enough to be online all day!!
Sorry had to get that moan out of the way... I do have a life away from iplay... but i still try to make as many tourneys as possible.- Re: TOURNAMENTS View

The TD's on this ladder do a fabulous job and give selflessly of their time. A special thanks to our UK TD's who interrupt their meal times with family and stay up late to finish at times. I appreciate all that you do for our ladder.
A TD can easily give 4 hours to a tournament...that includes setting up, advertising, being in the tourney room at least half an hour early, sitting through the tourney, settling disputes etc, not to mention the time delays because of boots or other reasons.
So before we start peeing in anyone's porridge about tourney start times, the length of a tourney or delays....try to consider all that the TD is doing for us. :O)
This reply is not directed at anyone in particular. I have noticed many players become irritated with different aspects of tournies and just wanted to point out all that a TD does to bring a tourney to us all.
Ok, I am getting off my soap box now.,(
Happy gaming everyone and be kind to each other :)
Hugs
Cindy
