- New feature enabled in Tourney and ladder rooms View

HIya all,
As most of you have noticed, we have enabled the anti cheat feature in our tourney and ladder rooms. Please do not take this as a personal affront on you as players. This feature is widely used on Iplay for many reasons. The main reason that we have implemented it in our rooms is for tourney purposes. It allows the TD to know if someone has gone off to check mail or to answer an ICQ message if they are lagging or late for a match. It also creates fair play during partners tournies.
That being said....before the start of a tourney , you will be asked to turn off all IM's and paging devices before the start of a tourney. This is as a courtesy to the TD and to your opponents and should allow our tourneys to run smoothly and without too much wait time.
This feature is especially useful during partners tourneys. I am sure that many of you have wondered if your opponents were communicating during tourney play. This new feature will halt any communication between players or they risk being DQ'd from the tourney.
Please understand that this feature is new to us but is not new to Iplay. It will prove to be effective, not only in speeding up game play but also in protecting us all as players.
Bear with us as this feature becomes a part of our game play. Sometimes, change is good. I hope this change proves beneficial to us all. :)
Your comments, whether positive or negative, are welcomed and encouraged.Hugs

I think Its a good idea in partners tournies, but its kinda hard for me to always turn off all my IMs during singles as that is how I communicate with my husband at work during the day and mom as well... So unfortunately besides the already limitation of the little one this will make some of my tourney playing less ;( gla
