The current top ten inactivity rule sets the counter at 3 days. This means that any top ten player that does not play within that period will be dropped in rank 5 rungs automatically. A question has arisen over whether this is what we need on the ladder or whether a change is required. This is YOUR ladder... and I want to know what YOU think... (apart from correcting the spelling lol)The current rule reads:
Inactivity: Players in the Top Ten must play at least once every 3 days. If thedon't they are automatically dropped five rungs and their inactivity counter is reset. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Proposed options:
Option #1: Players in the Top Ten must play at least once every 3 days. If they dont, they are automatically dropped five rungs and their activity counter is reset. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Option #2: Players in the Top Ten must play at least once every 5 days. If they dont, they are automatically dropped five rungs and their activity counter is reset. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Option #3: Players in the Top Ten must play at least once every 7 days. If they dont, they are automatically dropped five rungs and their activity counter is reset. There are no exceptions to this rule.

1ST OFF I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT ANOTHER CASES RULE THAT GOES WITH THE 3 DAY INACITIVITY RULE THAT WAS NOT MENTIONED IN THE FORUM(YOU CAN FIND THIS RULE RIGHT UNDER THE INACTIVITY RULE)
--Players in the Top Ten are expected to be as active after they reach the top ranks as they were before. In other words, if you are playing 20 games a day to make it to the Top Ten and then only play once a week to hold your rank you may be penalized.NOW YOU ARE GOING TO TELL ME THAT YOU ARE GOING TO JOIN THE LADDER, PLAY A LOT TO GET TO THE TOP THEN IN THE NAME OF "WORK" REQUEST THAT THE INACTIVITY NUMBER BE RISEN?? I MAY HAVE QUIT TD'ING, BUT I KNOW 1 THING. THE PEOPLE WHO ARE STILL HERE ISNT WORKING THEIR BUTTS OFF TO HAVE AN INACTIVE LADDER. .THE GOAL IS TO HAVE A VERY ACTIVE LADDER. I FEEL IF YOU CAN GET TO THE TOP WITH YOUR CURRENT WORK SCHEDULE THEN YOU CAN TRY TO STAY AT THE TOP.
AND AS FAR AS YOUR BEING DERUNG IN THE PAST BECAUSE YOU WERE SUPPOSEDLY WORKING, WELL MY PAGER DIDNT LIE EVERYTIME IT TOLD ME YOU WERE ONLINE LIVVE, PLUS LADDER RECORDS FROM ANOTHER LADDER SHOWED YOU PLAYING IN THEIR TOURNEY'S DURING YOUR INACTIVE PERIOD WHICH YOU COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN IN CASES PLAYING KEEPING ACTIVE.

Wellllll...OKAY now ya'll forced me to respond. We all have jobs...we all have lives outside of the internet (at least I hope so)...personally I think a 3-5 day rule is adequate, if you werent playing that often before you wouldnt be in the top 10 to begin with :o). I dont think anyone totally plans their lives around league play but those who dont play that often should not hold the spot from someone who does but has no one to play against to move up, what may or may not being going on in anyone's personal life...work...sleep...etc... is not even the issue, nor is any past situations that may have occurred. The rule is up for review..plain and simple...straight forward even...does it need to be changed for "League" reasons or not? Like I said my opinion is 3-5 days, 5 is even kinda stretching it. Thank you for your time and please leave a quarter on the table as you leave....good day everyone.

I am aware of the rules. But I guess what I say here just falls on death ears. Anyone who ready this should be able to understand why there are 3 days I can play. Also, I sign up for tourneys and they do not get off the ground. Maybe this ladder has so many players, they simply do not need or want me.So leave your quarter on the table........

I am a nurse. There are 3 days a week that i work, my normal shift it from 7 pm until 7:30 am. I am a ER trauma nuese. This means I usually work 14 plus hours per day on those 3 days. That means the day before i work, I must sleep all day because I chose to work nites. If I spend 13 to 14 hrs at work, add transit time to that, it really does not give me time to play. Other than that, I am a VERY active player. I played Cases a lot. I never refused a ladder request and I played any formals. This is why the 3 day rule is not fair, not to mention, some work 40 hr weeks and have a family. This is a ladder. Members are meant to be competive as well as enjoy league and it's members. Without members, there is no league.

Does anyone know this is here, the message forum?
I think 7 days is fair as Top Ten Drop Time. I explored the other leagues and only 4 out of the 15 leagues I checked in Livve, have changed their drop time to 3 days. The others range from 4 to 10 days. In checking the other leagues, in other sites, I found the majority was 5 days or longer, most were left at the 7 day cases default. Cases has it set for 7 days, unless someone goes in and manually resets it. If you start a new league, either cases or MyLeague League, the default is 7.
Some people work, some take a few days off for travel. It is not fair to the serious players, to lose rank after 3 days, especially if it is for the purpose of working.
The default on this ladder was
7 days until a few of the TD's and former TD's changed it to cause me to be derung from the number one spot, because just as NyBadOne is now, they felt I was there too long. I was VERY active in the league, other than 3 days a week, when I MUST work. It WAS NOT posted in this forum, before it happened to me either. How do I know this? Some of the TD's told me.
All that aside, it is just simply not fair to the working class, we have no sit at home option as some do, we do not draw welfare or retirement for any reason. Those that do, or simply chose to go without vs working can.
This is not really about rank, but simply what is right. As a Cases supporter, as well as a former league owner, I would hope this would be addressed, even expect this to be addressed fairly, with prejudice.
I was reading the messages in Forum, nothing here about the former rule changes. I did see a message about a voting booth, but no clue what the expected issue was to be voted on. Apparently, something was voted on and I expect it was Cases Ladder staff who voted. PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW THIS SITE EXISTS for the most part.
The rest is silly garbles about colors and wanting to be first to post a message and someone looking for someone. I would be willing to bet, 95% of members either do not know this is here at all, or do not know how to use it.
