Next year will mark ten years since Cluedo shut down.

While I'm aware that there is a strong possibility no one will see this statement, I thought I'd just put that out there. ;)

Will there be an anniversary celebration?

          Me too!

I'm not so sure anywhere would cater to a lil CD Rom game for the 90s nowadays, but even if Clue is not a possibility it would be nice if we could all do some kind of a game like the old days.

I don't seem to be able to access my old Hotmail email address and my Tesco address associated with this account is long gone but I'll keep an eye on this site in the event anyone would be interested in a reunion?

I have a small selection of you on facebook but for the others if you have any ideas on what game we could play or even better where we could play Clue then feel free to leave a comment here. :) If I get my old email address working or any email address then I'll leave a comment here to help us all keep in touch.

It would be nice to be more than passing ships in the night. :)

Jenny and I have had some success playing the CD-ROM version of Clue online via GameRanger (although crashes and disconnects seem to be more common these days).

I'll try to get in touch.

Well it would appear I have been able to access my old email address. All my old emails have gone but it has been reactivated!

            secret_smile_79@hotmail.com

Feel free to drop me a line if you want to revisit the old days. I will try and check that address as often as I can.

Of course other cluebies are much more fun and sociable than I ever was/am but the offer is there. :)

                Hi!
I wanted to let everyone know who is interested in a Clue reunion or just interested in playing Clue how we are able to do so, and how I was able to run the game.

Firstly, I downloaded Game Ranger, which is a program that hosts a lot of the older CD-Rom games - www.gameranger.com and set up an account through there. You can add me as a friend by going to "Find User" and searching for my email: jennyrawks@aol.com.

I am sure this will be different on each OS and each machine, but I will tell you my experience with running the game. I have an Acer laptop I bought new last summer which runs Windows 10. I installed the Clue CD-Rom onto it. At first, I had difficulty with running the game. I would get this error message: "the application was unable to start correctly (0x0000022). Click OK to close the application". I visited this forum: http://gamefixes.proboards.com/thread/3/clue-murder-boddy-mansion?page=2&scrollTo=773
and followed the advice of Matt, the Administrator on how to enable "Direct Play." That fixed my issue and I was able to run the game. However, I am able to participate in games that other people host, but I cannot host other people. I don't know what the issue is, and have tried lots of things including enabling ports etc. on my router but nothing seemed to work. But in the meantime, I am able to play if someone else hosts. The only issue is, the game does crash often. Like, more often than I remember it crashing (which was a lot ;P). But for me it is worth it to play Clue again :O).

In the likely event that you cannot get the game to run, and the above post doesn't help you, I would recommend posting your issue on that forum (and post here too so we know how it's going!)

                Let's make this happen!

                Jenny

Also, if you no longer have the CD-Rom, all is not lost - a friend of mine found it for download online, and it worked just the same.
