Unfortunately the software we all know and love is being discontinued by the software owners canasta.net on January 1, 2015. They are shutting down the server so there will be no way to connect for online games using that software.

But fortunately for all we have found a new home at Gaming Safari. I am quoting from our new Welcome letter which I hope will get you started playing canasta again online. That is the only change. You will still see some of your old friends there and perhaps make some new ones. You will still report losses to this ladder and chat with old friends in our forum. Here's how to get started.

While you're still feeling your way around, we would like to outline a few things that may be helpful to you.

This is just a brief overview of Case's Ladder, and we urge you to look around the pages and links for more useful information. You may wish to bookmark the Canasta (Gaming Safari) Ladder's main page.

WHERE TO PLAY

We play at http://gamingsafari.com/. Once on the main Gaming Safari page, follow the 3 steps ( HOW TO REGISTER ).

1. Click on Register. Fill in the registration form. Your preferred nickname must match the nickname you chose when you signed up for your Case's Account.

2. Once you have created a Gaming Safari account, you will need to download the Client Software.

3. Once you have downloaded the Client software you are ready to play. At the main menu, click on Login button and enter your email address and your password.

Click on GAMES. Select CANASTA 2 PLAYER and once there will see ( NEW Case's Canasta ) Click on our new game lobby where you will see tables. If you do not know how to set the game options, then sit on right side of the table and the player on left will set the game options.
