Dear Fair and Honest Members,
Our warmest Welcome to all the players who joined the League in the past month of September. We are very happy to have you in our league and sincerely hope you will have as much fun playing in Veterans Vortex room with us as we do.
For those players new to Mah Jong, or those who might want to refresh their knowledge, we have some helpful links that might help understand the game: One of them is Mah Jong Basics and Yahoo Scoring. Please keep in mind that this is a help site only, the rules are from real Mah Jong and some of them are slightly different to those of our League. You can also visit Yahoo Mah Jong Help and the League s Official Fan Counting page.
Any help or information you may need, please do not hesitate to contact any TD or Admin. We will be more than happy to help. Also, if at some point you happen to find yourself short of buxes to join the tourneys, please do not quit the League and rejoin to get buxes again. Cases might ban you from rejoining the League if you do so. Just ask in lobby and the TDs will find a premium member who can gift buxes to you. If you would like to never need to ask for buxes again, you can consider going Premium too.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all the league members born in October, we wish you all a very happy day and many more years to come. Please remember to submit your Birthday Tourney Request as early as possible for one of our wonderful TDs can make a special tourney for you, where you can choose day, time and your favorite rule so we can all celebrate your birthday with you.

SPECIAL TOURNEYS
Summer Most Wins Contest.
Our Most Wins Contest has ended. Our winners are: 1st Place: polisang (one year gold membership) - 2nd Place: inharmony_sg (one-year gold membership) - 3rd Place: eternalpromiseus (5000 Bux) - 4th Place: fongobibi (5000 Bux) - 5th Place: jumpbungee2005 (5000 Bux). The winners chose to gift the buxes they won to less wealthy league players, some directly, others through donation tourneys. Thanks to them for their kindness. Thank you all for participating so enthusiastically and special thanks to Neelie for organizing the contest. Same as the previous contests, it was an absolute blast and rocked all the way.

Just as a reminder:
The T.O.C. is played the first week-end of the month. It is an invitation only tourney. So, if you won a tourney the previous month you qualify and will get the automatic invite in your mail. You only need to CHECK-IN to play when the tourney time comes, since you have already been registered. In case you did win a tourney and did not get an invite, please contact the TD to fix the problem.
The Rank Advancement Tourney is played the second week-end of the month. The four finalists get the first four spots of the Ladder.
The B.O.S. is played thethird week-end of the month.
Luckymama hosts a Big Bux Giveaway Tourney the first Sunday of the month.We would like to take this opportunity to give Mims special thanks for all her help and support to the league, thanks for all the fun we had playing your tourneys, and for hosting big bux donation tourneys every last Sunday of the month. She informed us that she will not be able to continue doing this tourney upon schedule, since she has now other obligations and is very busy. But, she offered to come and host a surprise donation tourney whenever her schedule permits. So woohoo we look forward to those surprise tourneys and Mims, come to play with us every now and then too, we miss kicking your arse . lol.
NOTE: Upcoming Birthday Tourneys and all Special Tourneys are posted in advance in the League s Main Page. Do not forget to check so you will not miss any of them, and Very Good Luck!!!

Please remember that our aim is to have tournaments 24/7 in Veteran s Vortex, so we always NEED MORE TDs. No experience needed. If you feel like giving it a try please submit your TD Application and join our wonderful TD Team. Hosting is fun too!!!
