Problems with the new Mplayer Software... View

I have an older computer with Windows 95 and recently I've been having a lot of problems with getting the software to remain stable. I've tried reinstalling numerous times, but during the next installation I get about 6 errors I have to close out of in order to continue with the new installation. Then everything runs OK for awhile until the first time Mplayer tries to "recover"...After that my system crashes whenever I try to use the software. As it stands now, I have to reinstall (errors and all) everytime I want to play a match or tourney on Mplayer. I'm not going to be able to get a newer computer for a little while and I can't afford Windows 98, so if anyone has any advice, let me know. I'd appreciate it. (I've emailed support at Mplayer with no answer yet *sigh*) Thanks...
