I'm thinking about hosting a live party in March 2010. Maybe in Atlanta. Anyone know when Easter and spring break happen next year? Can you get away for a weekend?

Also thinking about playing some ladder games on New Year's Day. We are going to be watching the outdoor hockey game on TV and tossing cards - anyone want to meet me in the Battlefield for a few ladder games on New Years Day?

    Had a little bit of interest in a live party, but unfortunately not enough to spend the money on the meeting space and my travel expenses.

    Maybe March is just too soon to get the word out to enough people. I'll see if a later date would make more sense for a larger crowd to be able to come play.

      Hi Lace - I have had a lot of fun at your parties in Dallas, Atlanta, Vegas, Atlanta, and Richmond. It was fun to get to meet so many of our online friends, and you can count me in if the date you schedule doesn't conflict with my school schedule (been teaching 1st grade for 6+ years now). I told Claudia about your post, and I am pretty sure she wants to go too...
      If you ended up holding it in TX, I think Mike (AVP) and Chip would be interested. Mike was talking to me a little while back about trying to get a bunch of us together again. It has been a long time!
      Even though there is no activity on this old ladder, I still hear from so many friends I made while playing here..It was a good time, and I miss lots of the old players...will try to help spead the word about possible party if you post date & place where you want to have it.

        Hey Jane - I would love to go to Texas, although historically the Texas parties were the hardest to plan and find meeting space. But I will see what I can do.

        Great to hear from you - I truly miss the fun live games and seeing all our spades friends.
