Against Cheating View

Maybe we should have some ladder bot to play to weed out cheaters.

  What is going on? I played GiveMeChance, and I was beating his rush off. Then, the disconnect menu comes up for a few seconds, then it says that "GiveMeChance has left the game." However, the game kept going, it didn't say that he had been defeated. None of his units were doing anything, so I proceeded to finish them off. After I destroyed everything, then it said the GiveMeChance has been defeated and it quits. But I go to daily results, and it has no record of the match at all. It was going for at least 2 or 3 minutes when he left. I also matched with him two other times and he quit right away, and I didn't get anything for it. What is going on?
  How did he leave the game without being defeated, and why don't I get credit for it?

    I spoke too soon. It gave me the win and him a disconnect. Although it was still weird how he left but the game didn't stop.

  we do all we can to keep as much cheaters away from this ladder cheating will ofcourse not be accepted.

    If it mismatches, does that mean the other guy tried to cheat? DontHurtMe mismatched against me, and I was just wondering.

      In my experience, mismatching (game gets unsincranized), it is one of the players that does it. But that's just my opinion. Only time this happens to me is if I'm beating somebody really bad.

        I have been investigating this matter on mismatches and it is a cheat. Every time it happens a player did it on purpose or did something outside the bounderys of the hack the are using, ex. Say they are map hacking, they still have some bounderys they have to follow to keep the game from mismatching like clicking on stealth units, capturing/garrisoning buildings in a uncharted area, clicking on supplies on an uncharted area, even though they can see it the still have to chart the area with a scan or unit to actually click in the area but are alot of exceptions to this for it only happens on certain things.

        So if there is a mismatch, then one of the players is definitely map , or can it happen other times? Me and my brother were playing over our LAN once and it mismatched. I have no clue how that happened.

        I don�t think mismatch is an evidence for cheating. A while ago for example a game got mismatched if someone attacks a China HQ that is getting sold. I got a mismatch 1 or 2 weeks ago in an official game (but not on this ladder) right after the loading has finished. I don�t think he was cheating. We just started the game again and all worked fine.

        I don't know Rayden. It is defenatly possible for a mismatch because of a glich in the progamming but after viewing what I have seen I am sure that at least 95% of all mismatches that occure on this game is not by accident.

        mismatch happens when 2 games are not synchronised with eachother ;).
        it could be a server problem or internetconnection that is too slow or becomes slower in a game, but mostly it is because of cheating.

        Unfortunately this ladder is now place with more cheaters than others. I have found site with all tools needed for cheating. Map hack, speed hack, cash hack, promotion hack... Some players situated on very top on the ladder are using at least one of those tools. Everyone knows experience when beating someone disconecting menu appears after what opponent became very strong. When rushing someone he has surprisingly lot of troops in base etc. I know that ladder ops can not see each games log but maybe we can ask EA for help. Till than I quited playing on the ladder and I am offering my assistance in reviewing replays and eliminate cheaters.

        Well, I very seriosly don't think EA is going to help us. As far as they are concerned the Generals project is a lost cause.

        Get some volunteer to play the ladder(Actually i volunter myself) and save the replays to weed out the cheaters.Sub-raptor, please be aware that some of the top players might be up there because of cheats and not skill(Kurvio=Jsutni!!!!).Some of them are legitimate and if you wish I can tell you who to look out for privately.
