Personally, I love the new format. And a whole 2 second sparkle when someone scores shouldn't slow anyone down ... think about your move instead of watching it if you don't like it. I don't understand why so many complain about it. The old version was so outdated & dry. I got so excited when I heard that Pogo was updating this game & I waited until they did so before joining this league. But while the old version of the game was dry, this "limited animations" option now makes the game about as exciting as watching paint dry.

Hopefully admin/TD's/players don't start insisting on using this option, because it sucks every ounce of fun out of the game. And if the game isn't fun, there's no point in being here :(

  Well I do not agree with you on the new format... personally I prefered the old one, but what can ya do? lol

  I do however agree with you on the animations. If I have to play the new format, I like being able to see what's going on, and not have to try and figure out if my opponent scored. Maybe the Setters Choice tourneys will allow for animations, or perhaps the Admin of the league will allow animations if we choose to have them.

  I know that shutting them off does speed up the game, but dominoes shouldn't be a race.

  : After checking all of the tourneys this morning, "CHECK Limited Animations (Fast Game)" seems to have become part of the rules ... UGH!!!

  : All of my excitement & anticipation over this game being redone has been shot to hell in 1 month flat!

  : So, while short-lived, I've enjoyed my stay. This is an amazingly well run league, with great players who instantly make you feel welcomed & one of the gang. Particular kudos to all of the TD's who keep the tourneys running 24 hours a day ... most leagues can't get more than 5 or 6 tourneys in a day!

  : It's been a hoot & I wish you all the best, but I'm not playing where people's only goal is to blast through a boring as hell game like they're trying to set some sort of world record. I thought this was supposed to be fun? Who would have thought that a half-second notification when your opponent scores & actually seeing where your opponent plays would ruin a game for so many.
