I would like to thank all those members who appreciate the TD's and understand that none of us are perfect and at times things might not go the way everyone would like in a tourney - but thanks to those that understand.Lately there has been alot of complaints regarding slow play. This is frustrating for all but the TD's do their best to keep things moving. Many times, especially in the evening hours - the TD's are watching 6-8 tables..... this isnt an easy thing to do. I would hate to see us lose good TD"s willing to run the big tournaments due to members complaining about how things were ran. Personally I look at hand count.. and if I see a table falling behind - I will say something, the hand count to me tells alot.
I've played in many other leagues and Forevers is by far is the best at enforcing slow play. We all need to step back and support the TD's and not be so quick to criticize them.
Recently I've been criticized at not enforcing slow play, and this was on a game that was first to finish .. and to finish after 15 mins. I do my best to run a smooth tourney... and when the only "drama" i encounter is member complaining on how I ran a tourney.... to me this is a little sad.
Again THANK YOU to all the members who do support the TD's ... who do understand.... and who do not cast stones. Appreciate you !!!
also, I am not posting this to have a discussion on slow play but am posting to Thank all the members for supporting the TD's.

Well said, Christy… I, too, would like to thank the members who understand that we, as TD’s, do the best we can to keep tourneys moving but here is a point that hasn’t been mentioned yet. I know that I will try to call the next round as soon as possible and there are some members that are constantly away from keyboard/PC when pairings are called. If you’re going to play in a tourney, why can’t you take your BRB before the tourney starts? Why must a TD repeat the pairing 2-3 times before the table is made? It only adds to the frustration of trying to keep things moving smoothly. If a person needs so many “BRB”s, then perhaps they shouldn’t play or let the TD know you need a sub.
