The Battle Of Leagues Tourney is scheduled for this coming weekend.

Here is information about the BOL Tourney:

 

In order to play in the BOL tourney you must join this site,

This is where all the BATTLE OF LEAGUES TOURNEY takes place.

 

When you join you must add a prefix or jacket to the beginning of your ID so that others will know what league you represent

example :  MAG7_your ID or AIM_your ID

All matches will be played in Battle Of Leagues Room in Safe Harbor Games .

 

This can be found on the bottom of all the Backgammon leagues. No need to register for a physical tournament because it's run as a paper tournament. Matches will be posted manually. Please be in the lobby by  2:45 pm on the day of the event

Rules from the host

 

Rules are: Swiss Format - 3 or 4 Rounds

(May be adjusted depending on the # of teams participating)

5 Points (May be adjusted if the number of rounds need to be increased)

 

45 Minute Match Time Limits

 

Cube is allowed and encouraged

Trying to resign for less than the assumed point value is strictly forbidden,

however we do realize that mistakes sometimes happen.

If you are missing when called to play a match you will have 5 minutes to set or join the table

If you are booted from the room you will have 10 minutes to return.

If a player is booted and cannot return you can replace that player

with another for the next match

OR if a player has to leave you can replace him/her with another

for the next match.

We have been allowing a 5 man teams format in which a “SUB” is used on a rotating basis. A fifth player is a sub but may be used in any round as long as once a game is started, it is played all the way through. No subs will be allowed mid-game.

 

Pairings are listed in the lobby prior to each round.

The first name listed in the pairings chooses the table and sits on whichever side they want. The second name joins them.

It is both players’ responsibility to ensure the points are correct before starting to play.

If you are found to be playing for incorrect points you will be instructed to close the table and restart without restoring.

The only time points will carry to the correctly set table is if a game was completed in full, which most likely won't happen since I check the points immediately after the tables are set.
