Mountain Euchre
League Rules

Updated Feb. 18, 2008

Top Five Specific Rules

1. A challenge match should be played between #1 and #2 at least every 2 days. If the challenge has not been played within 2 days, both will be deranked to #50 irregardless of who is at fault. The game should be in a best 2 out of 3 format with the #1 player making the first table, #2 making the second table and #1 making the third table if necessary.

2. The only position that is bump-free is the #2 position. #1 should not play #3 or #4 until the challenge match has been played (tourneys are exempt from this rule).

3. Top five players are not allowed to ask to be deranked until after all reports are in, except in situation where it is a Cases technical difficulty.

4. Members of the same household cannot be in the Top five at the same time. New Timing Rule for Round Robin Tourneys: When a Td is invited to the Table for a MIA in a Round Robin Tourney- The TD will time for 5 minutes. Once those 5 minutes are up the TD will then have the host invite a sub.

If the player returns prior to the 10 minute mark then the sub will stand and the player will take their rightful seat.

Should the missing player not return by the 10 minute mark, then they are Dq’d as is normal practice and that players opp is advanced win or lose.

This will not apply to finals

We are hoping that this will allow RR tourneys to progress somewhat faster. 2 vs 2 Tourneys will remain at 10 minutes per Round Playing on any Table (including Table 1) You must play on whatever table the host chooses. If someone wants a table you are holding (private tables not allowed), you must relinquish it to them. Only one person is allowed to be on the held table and you are still only allowed to play on one table at a time. Common sense and courtesy is expected and will be upheldAge of Members: Any new player joining this league must be 18 years old or older. If we find out your underage, you will be removed from the league immediately. (at staff's discretion)Partnering Issue: You can partner friends (same area code) and relatives who do not live with you, but you should limit matches with them to one or two a week. (at staff's discretion)Ladder Climbing The movement in rank when winning a game at Mountain Euchre has been changed to a 41% climb.Force Forfeit 1. In either cases match or tournament no player should click "Force Forfeit".

2. If a player is booted from table please refer to "Failure to Finish Match" in the above rules.
NOTE:The best option would be to get a sub if the match if there was no clear winner.
The New Non Report policy is as follows: 1. All games have to be reported directly after game.

2. You are not allowed to play any other cases games or tourneys till the previous one has been reported.

3. If you are having problems reporting, contact an admin so they can assist you.

If the following things occur, here is proper procedure for taking care of reports:

A. If cases is down when games are played, You have 24 hours to get all reports in once cases is back up. Failure to do so will result in penalty. Admin will determine when the servers are considered "down" by talking to many different players.

B. If you have computer problems or ISP problems, You must report the games once you get back online. You are not allowed to play another game until it is reported.

Failure to Report Cases Games will result in the following penalties:

Each game counts as one non report.

After 3 non reports, you will be boxed one day.

Each non report after that, you will be boxed three days.

If you have a report that is owed to you by a Non- Reporter:

You no longer have to wait 24 hours to contact the non-reporter or file a Non Report.

Please IM them if they owe you a report and you see them in Advanced 10 playing.

Always be polite, nice and show common courtesy.

If they still fail to report--Please fill out the Non Report link on the Mt Cases web page, listed under Unreported Matches.General League Rules: 1. Common sense, common courtesy, and throw the dang card will be adhered to at all times.

2. All ladder games are to be played in Advanced 10 on rated tables, the only exception is specific Tourney Games.

3. You can play any player (3) three times in any cycle day.

4. Bots cannot be used for any Cases games, they are only allowed in a a bot tourney.

5. Any rank manipulation will be cause for penalty or removal from this league.

6. Harassment of any player, tournament director or admin will not be tolerated. Disagreements do occur, but keep it private and keep it under control.

7. All games are to be on protected tables unless you get permission from an admin to be on a private table due to an issue with a non cases member or boxed member of this league.

8. You may only play one cases match at a time. If found to have broken this rule, you will be deranked 100 rungs from the spot you were before the games took place. This must be witnessed by an admin or staff member (td or op!).Forum Rules and Guidelines: 1. The right to free speech does not apply when posting at this message board.
