Until the result of the All Star game actually has some bearing on something else (ie the winning league gets home field advantage in the World Series) its an exhbition game....it is an exhibition game with a lot of history, but it is still an exhibition game.

Return the voting to the players? Then i guess its not the fans game afterall.

PS - I am watching the AA game, and the announcers made a point to note that each ticket is printed: This game will only last ten innings....
