RIDDLE
When is a door no longer a door?

FEATURED POEM
WINTER'S BEAUTY
Snowflakes fall, a quiet show,
Covering the earth in a soft white glow.
The trees stand tall in frost so bright,
A December scene, a pure delight.
The days grow short, the nights are long,
Yet in the stillness, life feels strong.
A time to pause, to see, to feel,
December’s beauty is truly real.

MY THYME SAVER TURKEY
1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES
2. PAT DRY THAWED TURKEY & GENEROUSLY BUTTER ALL OVER & IN BETWEEN THE WINGS & LEGS. SEASON WITH YOUR FAVE SEASONINGS (I USE MSG, THYME, BASIL, OREGANO, BLACK PEPPER).
3. PLACE TURKEY INTO ROASTING PAN & FILL PAN WITH 1/2 C WATER.
4. PLACE A GENEROUS AMOUNT OF FOIL, MAKING SURE THE WHOLE TURKEY IS COVERED WELL & TIGHTEN AROUND THE EDGING OF THE ROASTING PAN MAKING A TIGHT SEAL.
5. FOR A 10 - 12 LB TURKEY, COOK 4 - 5 HOURS...14 - 16 LB, COOK 6 - 7 HOURS...20 - 24 LB TURKEY, COOK 8 - 10 HOURS.
6. THE RESULTS WILL BE THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO CARVE THE TURKEY, THE MEAT WILL PULL OFF THE BONE IF NOT FALL OFF THE BONE EVEN.
*NOTES:
IF YOU STUFFED YOUR TURKEY, INCREASE THE COOKING TIME BY 1 HOUR.
I RECENTLY FOUND OUT THAT SOME PEOPLE PUT A STICK OF BUTTER INTO THE RUMP OF THE TURKEY. I HAVEN'T TRIED THAT YET, BUT I THINK I WILL THIS TIME.
