First go to START, SETTINGS, "control panel" open it and click on folders, then view, then scroll down to "show hidden files" and also "hide protected operating sytem files" "hide extensions for known file types" and uncheck the boxes, then apply.(go back and check them boxes after you finish everything below) then go to "search" and type in C:WINDOWS32drivers (do not add the "etc"), after that opens, scroll to bottom of page (BECAUSE THE "HOST" FILE IS NOT IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER) as I over looked it the 1st time, then follow the directions...Open the C:WINDOWS32driversetc folder and right click on the Hosts file and click on "properties"
If there is a check mark in the "Read Only" box remove it and then click ApplyOK.
Now double click on the Hosts file.
When the dialog box opens and asks you what program you want to use to open it, select Notepad.
At the bottom of the file(under Local Host) starting in the first column(far left) and keeping everything on one line enter 8.5.0.53 hoylegames.sierra.com.
Be sure that there is at least one space between the IP address and the host name.
Close the Hosts file and it will ask "do you want to save", click on YES and your done, go back to http://hoylegames.igl.net/ .........good luck
