First when you join a tournament you don't get to choose you you play and if you are rated high on pogo and play someone rated very low maybe because they don't play often and they beat you it hurts your pogo rating alot. Additionally, not many of our tournaments are to a full 5000 points anymore so if we quit before that it's unfair to the person that loses the tournament since there is nothing to say you couldn't make a come-back and win the game.

So I personally don't understand the purpose behind making tournament and ladder games rated. Is it a cheating issue, if so what is playing a rated game going to do?
