  : We’re moving servers

  : Our current server provider hasn’t been working out for us. We’ve had a host of problems with their network speed and overall, we’re not satisfied with them.

  : Our servers are up for renewal and we’re taking advantage and moving on.

  : We’ve spent a couple of months preparing, and we’re happy to announce that we’re moving. We will be moving to brand new, extremely high quality servers. These new servers provide four times the performance of our old servers.

  : Moving servers is a big operation and we’ll need some time to move over. So, on Sunday, July 30 at 1am EDT, we will need to take down our site in order to migrate. We anticipate the migration to take around 4 hours.

  : Once the site is migrated over, we will post more information on the site. There’s a few things to keep in mind:

  : You will receive a client and Safari Friends update after the server migration. This is to allow you to connect to our new servers correctly.

  : While we try to keep the updater stable, it doesn’t always do so well with a high load. For this reason, we do provide an up to date installer on our Software page. After the update, the latest version will be available there. Download and install the appropriate version (click here for info on 32 or 64 bit) and you’ll be set. The new install will overwrite your old one; you don’t need to uninstall first.
