As you will have seen from the main page the VU Games site closes at the end of January 2009.

We are currently looking at alternative sites and will be in touch with all members by way of Newsletter as soon as we can.

We would urge everyone to continue to play and hope that when we do find a new site that you will all come and play games with us

From a personal standpoint it has been an honour to be OpManager on this ladder and I hope to continue to be so at a new location

Case's Ladder

I copy below a portion of the email received with regard to this closure for your information

As many of you may know, Case's Ladder has been managing Hoyle Online games for 4 years now, and during that time, the rights to the gaming site have changed hands from VU Games to Encore. It is with great sadness that we must announce the contract for Case's Ladder to continue managing Hoyle Online has expired, and Encore has asked that we shut down the games effective by January 31, 2009.

The main reason the Hoyle Online gaming site that we manage is being shut down is because Encore has released a newer version of the online games (Hoyle Royal Suite) with their release of the 2009 CD-ROM games. Players must purchase the CD-ROM games in order to access the online multi-player games. More information can be found at http://www.hoylegaming.com/. We do not know yet if we will be allowed to create official Case�s Ladders for the new games, but we are working on that. That information will be passed along as we receive it.
