- Hurrican Ivan Grenada update View
by subform on September 23, 2004 at 14:52:09 PDTHello all, tks for the kind thoughts and concern. I am happy to report that my family and myself have survived. Most of the roofs and houses in Grenada did not. In fact over 90% have been damaged. I do not have current or relectricty and don't expect it to come back for a few months. Thankfully we do have some water now in the taps so i can take a shower lol,.
I am using the school pc to send this message as there is a generator here. Unfortunately i cannot come into the room to see you all in and play as it's restricted on school network.
I have posted a few pics of ivan on the following link. The pics of the messy room and the window with no roof show whats left of my room. I am still finding cd's and clothes up in the hills as we try to clean up. But we were one of the lucky ones. Grenada has been severly hit and our dumbass prime minister is trying to make the outside world think everything is ok when it's not. If there are any assistance programmes in your areas for grenada then i would be most grateful if you could donate anythig to the cause, no matter how small. These pics show nothing of the true damage. Just imagine over 90% of the houses in grenada are in similar or worse condition than those in the pictures.
Thats all for now. Tks for all the prayers and good wishes once againhttp://share-adobe.shutterfly.com/action/share/view?i=EeAOWjJqxaM2j3I&open=1&sm=0&sl=0
