I saw some of you in the lobby earlier, but wanted to let everyone know I've survived the 5.8 (5.4 on some reports) earthquake that hit Southern California at 11:40 am Pacific Time (19:40 BST). Which means I will still be able to host tourneys. (You can't get rid of me that easily!) :)The quake was a "roller" -- nice, rolling motions from the epicenter, similar to bobbing up and down on the ocean in a small boat -- and lasted about 20 seconds. It was centered about 30 miles from me. There have been aftershocks every few minutes, but they are small enough that I've not felt them.
Janine (jkayeol) also lives in So Cal. She's about an hour's drive north of me, roughly the same distance from the epicenter as me. At worst, we have some crooked pictures on the walls or things that danced around in the cabinets during the quake.
Thanks to all for your concern earlier. Back to hearing the radio stations playing Carole King's "I Hear the Earth Move Under Your Feet."
